When Evelyn was done with the dishes, she went upstairs to watch tv in her room. She was about to go in Marshall's room to ask him what his problem was, but she heard the shower going and figured she would try later. Plopping down on her bed she grabbed the remote off her bedside table and switched on the tv and searched through the channels for something until she settled on Spongebob Squarepants. Her mom had been telling her since she was 13 that she was too old for Spongebob, but even though she's 21 now, she still loved it. She scrolled through the program menu and saw that it was a marathon and squeeled out of joy. After about 2 hours, Evelyn started to get tired and nod off, even though it was only 8 p.m. She eventually drifted off and went to sleep.
Evelyn woke up some time later, according to the clock, 3 a.m. She was deathly thirsty, so she hopped up out from under covers and went out into the hallway. Going slow since it was dark, and she still wasn't quite used to this house, she still managed to trip over the first stair and let out a cry as she blindly grasped at the air for the railing. Marshall came running out of his room just as she put her hands on the cool wood of the railing.
"What's wrong?" He said half asleep, half panicked. "Oh nothing, just about to tumble to my death, no biggie." "You didn't think to turn the light on?" He asked, flipping on the switch. "I didn't know there was a switch there. Look, I don't have time for this, I just want to get some water and go back to bed." Marshall threw his hands up, like he was surrendering. "Alright fine. I'm going back to bed too." "Yeah, you do that." Evelyn got up from her sitting position on the stairs and went to the kitchen. She grabbed a cup and filled it with water, chugged it, then repeated.
Evelyn woke up a few more hours later at 10 a.m. She went in her closet to pick out something to wear. She settled on a pair of jean shorts with white lace on the side, her new Nikes, and her Biggie shirt. She went into the bathroom to brush her teeth and wash her face. When she came out Marshall was standing in her doorway, hands up on either side of the door frame. "May I help you?" she asked. Before he answered he came to sit down on her bed. He patted the space next to him without saying a word.
Evelyn hesitated for a moment before she walked toward him and sat down on his right. "I've been thinking..." "Ok? About?" "I've been thinking about us." Evelyn started to speak but Marshall held up his left hand to silence her."Just...let me speak right now. I need to get this out." Marshall spoke in a soft tone. "I've been thinking about us and this whole situation. I have feelings for you, and I know you have them about me, just not as strong. I've been trying to take it easy and back off, but it's been very difficult. I know that's no excuse, all I have to do is think with my brain and not my dick, it's not hard. I've wanted to do much more that just kiss you, to hold myself back after that took all my strength, you have no idea."
Marshall took a deep breath and then started up again. "You're so beautiful and I...I can't take it anymore. I have to have this." Before Evelyn could react he was on top of her, but this time she didn't try to shove him off. She managed to pry his mouth off of hers to say, "Woah. Woah, calm down. I have something to tell you." Marshall bit his lip then asked, "Yes?" "I've wanted you too. I just felt like I shouldn't rush into it because...I don't know. But, now I feel ready. I want you to make love to me Marshall." Marshall smiled and said, "You don't know how long I've wanted to hear that." He forced his mouth back onto hers, before a thought popped into her head.
Just as Marshall was about to take her shirt off, she pulled back again. "What is it now?" Marshall asked frustrated. Evelyn laughed and said, "There's something else I have to tell you." "Oh no." He started. "You don't have the clap do you? Or is it crabs?" She laughed again and slapped him playfully on the side. "I don't have any STDs. I...I-." Marshall tried to finished her sentence by saying, "Was born a man?" Evelyn giggled. "No! Would you shut the hell up and let me finish? I'm...I'm a virgin." "Oh." Marshall said. He sat up. "I'll take it slow, I promise. Do you want me to get a condom?" She caught his arm as he started to get up. "No. Didn't you say you had some morning after pills or something like that?" He nodded. "I'll just take those. This is my first time, and I want to get the full effect, you know?"
