Jimin Pov:

We were currently outside my apartment, and neither of us seemed to part away. I wouldn't lie but the scenario felt kinda romantic.....no, more like heated between us, with the view of the heavy downpour outside, as we locked ourselves in the car, all alone. Our states completely wet and dripping, the water trickling down our warm and moist skin.

The unbearable silence between us which was only accompanied by our heavy and faint breathings to be heard. The pent up tension between us felt so vast that at some point I just wished to risk it all and pounch right on his lap, straddling him, smooching him and having him all by myself.

"You should go home now," he mumbled as I glanced at him and then outside the window at my apartment.

He plopped the key, twisting it and started the engine. I don't know what got into me but as soon as the sound of the engine launching, fell on my ears, my hand grabbed onto his instantly, stoping his actions.

"Come over...." The two words slipped out of my mouth and how fucking embarrassed I was right after.

What the fuck am I saying?! That sounded so wrong-

"Huh...?" He looked at me with his round eyes more in the display as he widened them in surprise.

"I-I mean you're wet...no, no, not that wet...I-I'm sorry I didn't mean that...I-....I don't know what I'm saying," I gasped a breath at my dumb ass and hid my face in my palms in embarrassment.

"Jimin, you know I don't understand the baby language..." He laughed out making me more burn from humiliation.

I raised my head again, shook the guilt off of my head and cleared my throat, proceeding slowly with my words now. "You seem to be drenched in rain and cold right now, Officer Jeon. And being a responsible citizen of this country I must assist the administration labourer as far as I can. So, could you grant me the opportunity to alleviate your poor state by offering you shelter and some fresh and warm attire?"

The mystified expression that he had on his face and the way he was gaping at me with both of his eyebrows raised was very entertaining to watch. He couldn't seem to speak a word after what I narrated to him as he stood still oattung his mouth with unspoken words.

"That sounds elegant....but may I know what does that mean?" He quenched his eyes at me and it made me break into laughter. He just stared at me, holding back his laughter as I came to an end and took a break from my laugh, trying to catch some air.

"I just mean that I don't want you to go back soaked in this heavy downpour. Since you're already here, you can change into some of my clothes at my place. It's not good for you to stay too long in those soggy clothes, you might get sick, officer Jeon,"

"Well...." He muttered as he glanced at his hands that were gripping onto the steering. "I'm fine with it as long as you're fine with me stopping by your place," he smiled as he looked back at me.

Shit, these heart flutters again.

I guided him to the elevator. There was an awkward silence between us again. I looked at him when I realised how tense he looked with his back straight and a straight face as if his military training was going on.

"Officer....?" I asked and he snapped, giving me a glimpse. "What's wrong? Are you sick? Why are you so red?"

"No-no, I'm completely fine," he mumbled and I raised a brow at his fake smile of assurance.
