My first night back at Hogwarts. This is one of my favorite nights but also my least enjoyable. I sleepwalk you see, but only on my first night back. This has been happening since my first year. I haven't figured out why I only do this once, but the good thing is, I haven't done or said or ended up somewhere I shouldn't and I'm very lucky for that.
Or so I thought.
Once everyone finished their dinner in the Great Hall, we flood out and head to our dorms for bed. I catch up with my best and dearest friends, Draco Malfoy and Blaise Zabini. I've known Draco since we were both little, age 3 or 4 I believe and we both met Blaise on our first year train ride to Hogwarts. We've all been inseparable since.
Blaise tells us about his summer long trip with his aunt and cousin to Europe. Explaining in vivid detail about how beautiful it was and all the interesting wizards and witches he met while he was there. Draco and I were at the Malfoy Manor a majority of our break. Working in his mother's garden, studying and revising our school subjects, or working at Gladrags Wizardwear, our part time job we got together two summers prior.
Around 11:30, we say our good nights and leave the common room. Our first class is Herbology at 9am. We lucked out by having all of our classes together. My father, of course, wanted me to have the best of the best and paid Professor Dumbledore to give me the only single student dorm. Draco's father did the same for him but the boys wanted to share so Draco and Blaise have a room together. My room consists of plants, and lots of them. I have four pots of Epipremnum aureum, or also known as Devil's Ivy to most.
My comforter is a dark, deep purple, with matching pillowcases. I hand made the rug, it's a fly agaric, which is a red mushroom. The one with the white spots on top. I have crystals and candles sitting on my desk and wardrobe. By the time I've gotten ready for bed, it is now midnight and rain is hitting the roof and painting the window with streaks. The sound of the rain lulls me to sleep.

*2am*
The floor feels cold under my bare feet. My legs move automatically, leading me through the common room and out into the rest of the castle. I wiggle my toes and feel the decades old carpet under them. It's softer than you would think after being stomped on everyday, constantly.
There are no lights, apart from the very light haze coming through the windows. The faint snores and groans can be heard from both sides as I pass the sleeping paintings that line our halls. They don't bother trying to talk to me or convince me to head back to my dorm since they've grown accustomed to my nightly walk.
The castle is peaceful, the usual chatter of excited students, now nothing but dreams being dreamt as they slumber. All of the Professor's resting in their chambers, preparing for their first day back at teaching.
My feet find another set of steps, colder, and a lot more rough than the others. I count eight. The hallway is cold, as if I walked outside in a snow storm. Shivers are sent up my legs and into my spine. The floor just gets colder and colder the further I walk. A small blue light flickers in the distance. I can't quite figure out where it's emitting from.

"Who's down here?"

I hear a gruff voice say from the darkness. It's a very familiar voice, one I know all too well.

"If you're a student I recommend you head back to your dorm this instant to save you a detention."

The voice speaks, only a little louder now. The light slowly gets bigger as the person approaches. It's coming from the top of his wand.

"Last chance."

The voice now a mere three feet away. The light shining brightly in front of me.

"Ms. Riddle? Out of bed I see."

What Professor Snape doesn't realize, yes I can hear him, but I cannot answer back. I'm asleep. I'm in a deep haze of slumber. Most Professor's are aware that this happens and if they see me, they won't disturb me. All they'll simply do is turn me around and send me back in the direction of my dorm.

"Ms. Riddle?"

He's now beginning to realize I am not awake. He repeats my name but with a hint of confusion in his tone. He holds his hand a little over my head and discovers my closed eyes, outlined with purple and blue bags underneath them.

"Another sleepwalker. First it's Ms. Lovegood, and now..you."

He sounds more defeated and tired than annoyed and upset.

"Alright. Lets do this again."

I feel two large hands on my biceps, slowly turning me around. Nudging me back towards the stairs.

"Sweeter than I ever knew. Tell me that you love me."

"Always muttering. Why do they always have to speak."

Says the exhausted voice. What did I say? Oh god, this is embarrassing. Hopefully he won't remember tomorrow. I couldn't face going to potions after dropping that kind of bomb on him. I shouldn't worry though, it was just harmless words. This can't have any effect on me later.
