The next morning comes quickly, as I wake up and get dressed for classes today. My memory wiped clean of my sleep walking events of the night.
At 8:50, Draco, Blaise, and I leave the Great Hall and make our way to the green house for Herbology. Professor Sprout proceeds to go over what plans she has for the year after welcoming us all back. Most of the hour contains Sprouts talking and speech. Everyone zoned out slightly but came out of it when the hourly bell rang.
We scurry down to the basement level for Potions with Professor Snape. Harry, Hermione, and Ron also share morning potions with us. As well as Crabbe, Goyle, and Pansy. Draco, and Blaise take the seats on both sides of me while Pansy sits across from me.
It seems like all the classes will be the same today. Going over expectations and plans for the year. I notice a good handful of students zoning out, one being Draco.
Others are drawing on parchment, some of the girls are fiddling with their hair, and some are trying to keep from falling asleep. Professor Snape doesn't seem to mind it too much since it's the first day, that or he just hasn't noticed yet.
About twenty minutes in, I prop my head up, using my fist. My eyes lock onto the wall at first, but they slowly start drifting away. I find myself then locked and zoned on Snape's hands. This isn't uncommon. Eyes wander, especially when one does zone out. I doubt he'll notice.
My sight begins to blur, only slightly. My ears feel full as my mind focuses only on my thoughts. Everything and everyone around me becomes no more than shadows. Figures on the sidelines. Professor Snape's voice fades more and more with each passing second of my own decent into thoughtfulness.
My thoughts start off as nothing but they merge into something.

"Ms. Riddle?"

...

"Ms. Riddle."

...
My arm is pushed out from under my head and I almost drop into the table. I snap out of my daze as I feel Draco nudge my arm yet again.

"Mhm, what?" I say in a mumble.

I watch as Draco points at Professor Snape who is now in front of our table. Looking very unamused.

"It is one thing to zone out in my class, but it's another not to answer when I call your name Ms. Riddle."

He says.

"Is this something you would like to share with me?"

This caught my attention. And I mean all of it. I didn't realize what I ended up thinking about until I'm being asked to share it. Let alone with the person I was day dreaming about. I now realize I am in trouble. And lots of it.

"No. I would rather not."

I say sheepishly. My face instantly flushing. Shit, shit, shit. If I don't get in trouble for this, I'll call myself lucky. No, scratch that. I'd say grateful.

"Legilimens."

Professor Snape says firmly. I'm in for it.

I feel a rush of cold air brush over my face as I feel him penetrate my mind. All of my memories come flushing forward as he searches for the correct thought. Once he finds it, he latches on.

*Lilith's Mind*

"Come on Severus. You have to see the beauty of this place."

I say as I grab hold of his hand and pull him towards the Forrest behind my fathers manor. I take a glance back at Severus and his face is flushed. Pink on the borderline of becoming red. He looks up from our hands and finds my eyes. It feels as if our souls find each other's and connect.

"I'm moving as fast as you're allowing me darling."

I flash a huge, heart warming smile back at him before facing forward again. I slow down once we've reached the river.

"Be careful when stepping on the stones. They can be slippery."

I jump onto the stepping stone in front of me, waiting for Severus to get closer before moving onto the next one. Severus and I both slip on the last stone and land on top of one another in the grass on the other side. We both break out into laughter. Severus' hands find my face, pulling me in for a deep kiss before getting up.
Severus stands, and brushes himself off. He stretches out an arm. I slip my hand into his and begin to pull him gently, deeper into the Forrest. About another fifty feet in, we stop.
In front of us is a dark oak gazebo that my father put together when my mother was still alive. Fairy lights dance from the trees, falling down around the gazebo. The glass roof glistening with small suns. Devils ivy hangs from the trees as well as the wood. An assortment of flowers and mushrooms fill the grass surrounding us. A florists dream. Severus squeezes my hand gently three times. Which is our code for 'I love you'. We use it mostly in public places.

I watch as the vision of Severus and I slowly begin to fade and fully disappear. All my memories come flooding at me yet again as I begin to feel him release from my mind. More cold air surrounds me, I shiver. Once he lets go, I let my face drop. Not ready to face my consequences and embarrassment.

"Well well." He says.

I slowly lift my head to look at Professor Snape. His cheeks fade quickly from the pink that they were to his regular skin tone. He tries to cover his smug tone with irritation.

"Detention. Tonight at 8pm."

I knew it. Who knows what I'll be doing this time. I've had my fair share of detentions over the years. Professor Sprout made me repot Mandrakes for two hours, leaving me with a headache for days. Filch taking me to Hagrid, and Hagrid taking me into the dark Forrest with Draco. Professor McGonagall had me clean the cages by hand for all the animals in her classroom, and the list goes on.

"Yes Professor."

And with that being the last thing said, the end of class couldn't come soon enough. I was the first to leave once the bell rang for our next class. I beat Draco and Blaise by three minutes. My mind raced with all the possibilities of escaping my detention tonight, pretending to be sick and going to the infirmary, falling asleep right after dinner, or simply just ditching. I then remembered my promise I made to my father before starting school. Not to get in trouble. He's been so focused on other things it wouldn't be fair to him to get a letter, especially on my first day.

With that, I let out a sigh in defeat. Mentally preparing myself for tonight.
