This is stupid.

He knows.

But the sight of those families had made his body move by itself because he also was reminded of his own.

Certainly wasn't necessary but he has his newly obtained power and he wasn't alone to fight. And in an instant, his walk turned into a sprint.

"Star Platinum: The World!" He chanted, the sound of a ticking clock reaching his ear before his surrounding turned into a shade of gray as he ran toward a fallen soldier, as an axe was about to impale his body.

The time stopped.

He was kind of far from them and the time stop he tried was just holding for a few seconds. But that's not his only trick.

Never wielding any kind of power in his entire life, Herumi did some experiments as he walked earlier, to make the best of his stand without him anyone seeing the stand.

Which he named as overlapped.

It's easier this way because he doesn't want to cause maybe another hostile stand user, or anything to come his way, making his journey more difficult and not bringing too much attention.

Why? Because it will strange if those people saw a man's spirit like with purple-bluish skin coming out of his body. Though he can just run away with his time stop...doesn't mean they won't recognize his face.

While sprinting towards the danger, Herumi had overlapped both his hand with his stand with only the fingerless black gloves visible and his stand's muscular leg to propel himself, leaving a small crater behind.

While he did some experiments earlier, he was still lacking in control of his strength.

He was getting closer to the bandit and had cocked his hand back for a punch, clenching his teeth.

The reverse sound of the clock ticking, reach his ears, and his vision of his surrounding had getting its color back

The time resumed.

"AAGH!"

*BAM*

A haymaker to the chest dented its metal armor, coughing some blood out of his mouth, immediately sending the bandit flying away, with the axe thrown out of his hand. The said bandit didn't even have the time to scream as his chest pounded in agony, crashing to his comrade.

The sound of his punch ringing through the air alerted the others and Herumi can only wish that the man didn't die.

"W-wha? W-who are you?!" exclaimed the fallen infantry, stupefied by his sudden appearance.

But Herumi has no time to reply, as the other bandit had focused their attention on him, and he got in his fighting stance.

One of them rushed in and swings his sword but Herumi ducked, the attack was too slow, before swung his fist to his crotch, and despite the armor, it did not do anything to dull the damage.

The said bandit's face twisted in pain, and his leg shivered, before sending a punch to the face with sickening crunch.

He probably broke his nose but they were the ones who attack with killing intent, he doesn't feel guilty about his action.

His action doesn't take more than 3 seconds, thanks to his stand's speed, strength, and precision. That doesn't mean that he was that confident though, a single mistake can kill him if he wasn't careful. Not to mention he doesn't have any experience in a fight.
