I tried to make a fluff here and a bit of backstory. I have no idea how this will turn out but...I hope it's to your liking.

I still don't have much experience in making this kind of story but I'll try and of course, it's not perfect.

All kinds of ideas pop out of nowhere like an RKO to my head so this may not be as short as it's supposed to be.

"Here is your drink!"

"Thank you, Herumi" smiled Liu Bei, no older than 7 or 8 years old, taking the bottle of water from her servant, just as she was done with her training.

Herumi happily nodded before he scrambled the bag that contained a lot of, Liu Bei's necessities. A box full of cooked food, water, and a handkerchief, not much, and his master actually could bring these on her own.

But this is the aristocracy we are talking about and they usually have their things prepared by a servant, even the minor things as to make their master as comfortable as possible.

And Herumi was more than happy to accept that role. After all, she was the one who saved him from his horrible fate, but unfortunately, his parent didn't.

Although still feeling down about since the public cremation where he...could see both parents for the last time, Herumi was almost scared that he will be alone, living on his own, and what was worse was, and he doesn't have someone to take care of him anymore, and certainly didn't know how to make a living.

Well...he could but his village had burned to the ground by those bad monsters and he was possibly the only survivor that was able to actually survive the onslaught.

Thankfully, Liu Bei had seen this and decided to take him with her, and with the permission of her mother, he was welcomed.

Herumi didn't know what to do when the older woman hugged him out of pity and shower him with affection. Sure he got the warm embrace of his mother and father, as well as from a bunch of acquaintances he had helped back in the village but...

It doesn't go as far as this, especially him being a stranger living in their house but the woman didn't hesitate to ease the little blue-haired man still feel bad to just...stay in their house.

Being taught by his loving parent in the past, Herumi gulp the lump in his throat and began to ask about what he could do to repay their kind treatment...and was fine just being a servant to serve.

The pain of losing his loved ones was still there, but he powered on anyway.

"Ma'am," Herumi tried his best to smile, despite his nervousness...and the pain in his chest, "I-is there...s-s-something I can do to repay your t-t-treatment? I mean I...I don't think it is g-g-good for me to just..." Herumi paused, the pain in his chest becoming more apparent, the woman patiently waiting, "To just stay? M-m-maybe I can be s-s-servant to you?" he stuttered looking down at the floor, fidgeted on his finger, as he exhale the breath he had been holding in.

The woman, however, or Master Liu Shi gave him a sad smile, although the little man tried to hide it, his supposed hidden emotion was still as open as a book, she was on her knees, ruffling her hand through his blue hair.

"It's fine, dear, you don't have to worry," the kind woman said, with her motherly affection.

This time little Herumi look up at her eyes, frowning, "B-but...I don't want to be a burden for you and...You give me a place to live so I guess, c-c-could I at least r-r-return the f-favor?" the boy retorted back, his face was red from embarrassment.
