"What's up?"

Blooming Heart, Broken Flower

Life isn't all fun and games

Herumi is just an ordinary kid, who lived in a village with his parents; they were farmers with little to no luxury in their life. Both parents of his worked in their field not far from their home, with the help of others, and in return, they also helped to care for their field as well.

It's a fair trade in such a small village and everyone has agreed, even without it being spoken.

They worked hard to support their life, especially now that they have their little man, or better yet their cinnamon bun, their lovely son whom both parents would do anything for, even if it was at the cost of their life.

They tried their best to split the time to work and play with their lovable son. Sure it was tiring for both parents to manage their time.

But seeing their little blue-haired man's smile is enough to relieve their fatigue from their exhausting day of work.

They are still one happy family within the Lopok village.

"Mama, Papa, look!" a yell of their cinnamon bun sounded as the parent look at him, running to them with his small legs, carrying several pieces of paper with him with a bright smile, "I made a drawing of us together!" He said puffing his chest out, proud of his work.

His mother, who had blue-haired just like him, smiled affectionately at his son, before getting on her knees and seeing the art of her cinnamon bun, "really? Can we see it?" asked his mother, Herumi handed her the paper, taking it, inspecting the said picture.

Just as he said, the picture was of him and both parents some three, and a farm animal in the background, though a little roughly made with some little detail of his father's beard and his mother's long hair, the drawing was somewhat cute.

"Oh my ~" she covered her mouth with her hand, "how cute ~" she cooed, pressing her son's cheeks against hers, which he contently complied with.

"Ehe ~"

"hey hey, what's with the ruckus here?" his father, looming behind them, as he look at the picture his wife holding in her hand, "oh ~ is that me?" he said, getting his head between them as Herumi giggled.

"Yes, papa! I even draw your huge beard too!" Herumi replied with a tone full of happiness, "Do you like it?"

"Hah! I love it!" his father, showering his cheek with kisses, making the small Herumi giggle, "Papa your beard tickles! Hahaha!" the laugh of their little man is enough to lessen their burden.

"Herumi, why won't you eat your food?" Herumi's mother asked with a small frown, as her son next to her pouted on his seat.

"But mom! I'm full! I can't eat all of it, and I don't want to be a fat grown-up!" the little Herumi said, hugging his stomach still with his cute pout.

"Who told you eating vegetables can make you fat, hmm?" asked Herumi's mother with a gentle smile, her son tilting his head, "Do you know any fat grown up?"

"I mean...there's one in front of me," Herumi said with a cheeky smile, earning a burst of booming laughter from his father.

Though her mother didn't say a thing, she was surprised by the cheeky answer.

"When did you become so naughty?"

"HAHAHAHA! My son is a little menace!" His father suddenly slid his hands below his shoulders; carrying the little man up as if he was a trophy to show to the world, the little man himself has a wide smile on his face, "Don't you think, hon?"
