Darkness. That was the first thing you noticed. The second was the pain. It was everywhere. Pressing down on your chest, shooting up and down your arms and legs, in your neck, even your head hurt. You tried to sit up, to figure out what was going on, but you were met with incredible resistance. As your eyes adjusted to the low light, you made out the outline of giant rocks. Not rocks, giants slabs of concrete, metal, and drywall were piled on top of you. Only one thought remained in your head,
"I'm going to die."
You heard a noise next to you.
"Y/n?" You tried to turn to find the radio, ignoring the screaming pain in your neck.
"Y/n, Come in." The voice was panicked, demanding...familiar.
"Tony?" You whispered, there was no response. You stretched your left arm out as far as it would go, just barely grazing the radio. You ground your teeth and pulled against the rubble, trying with all your might to pull it towards you.
You vision was going black around the edges with the pain, but you kept reaching. Finally, after what seemed like forever, you got the radio under your hand. You pressed the button. While it had been Tony's voice something through the radio, it wasn't him you wanted to talk to.
"Wanda," you croaked, the radio buzzed, then nothing.
"Wanda," you said louder.
"Y/n," the panicked voice of your girlfriend met your ears. If your ribs weren't in the middle of being pulverized by rubble, you would have sighed.
"Y/n, where are you?"
"I love you, Wanda."
"No." Her voice was harsh, but you couldn't bring yourself to be surprised.
"No. Don't you dare say goodbye. We're going to find you."
"I'm stuck, Wands. There's too much rubble and not enough time." She tried to protest, but you weren't having it.
"Wanda, listen to me. I'm going to die."
"No, y/n you're gonna be-"
"I'm not going to be fine, Wanda. I'm going to die, so please, just let me get this out." She didn't respond so you kept going.
"I love you. I love you so much. Ever since I was young I never really understood anything about the world, and I never understood anything that happened in my life. The only thing that ever made sense to me was you, and how I felt about you. That's all I've ever known. I want you to know that it's enough. Loving you made everything worth it-" you coughed and felt something red trickle down your face. The radio slipped from your hand and that was it. The last goodbye you'd ever get to say and it was cut short. You heard Wanda screaming your name through the radio. You didn't have the energy to reach for it again. To finish your speech.
"No. Y/n. NO. Come back!" Suddenly a weight was lifted off you. Blinding light filtered down, effectively blinding you for the next few moments. That was when Wanda spotted you under the rubble. You felt her hands on your face, heard her soft voice calling for you.
"Wands," you choked out, "the top drawer." Wanda nodded. She was saying something, but you couldn't make it out. Tears streamed down her cheeks. You reached up with your last bit if energy and wiped them away.
"I love you..." you exhaled one last time and everything went dark.

It had been weeks since Wanda had even left her room. You were dead, there was no reason to even get out of bed. She thought again of the words you had said just before your last three.
"Wands, the top drawer." She shuffled out of her room and into yours. It hadn't been used in a while, long before you had died, you had began sleeping in her room. She looked around, only one dresser was left. She opened theta drawer, her heart speeding, hoping for something, anything that would explain your death, anything that would make the pain less.
Her brows knit together in confusion when she found only socks. She used her powers to move them, throw them across the room as she dug through the drawer. There, at the bottom, looking very black against the wooden bottom of the drawer, was a ring box. She lifted it carefully and opened it. A tiara ring with a silver band sat in nestled in the fabric. There was one large red stone, surrounded by elegant little diamonds.
Wanda looked up at the ceiling, tears pouring from her eyes.
"Yes. A million times yes." She slipped the ring onto her finger.
