"It's no fun if I just tell you," Nat pushed out her bottom lip in a pout. You watched her, silent and exaughsted.
"Let's play a game," Nat grinned like a little kid, "you answer one of my questions and I'll answer one of yours. Deal?"
For a moment you considered this. Honestly, you didn't see another option.
"What information could you possibly want from me," you questioned, she shrugged innocently. You took a deep breath, sighing as you exhaled.
"Fine." The assassin cocked her head at you, smiling bc like the Cheshire Cat.
"Why would a little girl like you want to spend her life making deals with criminals?" You shrugged, a bit confused by her question. You'd expected questions about...well you weren't sure what you were expecting but it wasn't this.
"I don't know... I wanted to make the world a better place." You starred off into space for a minute before snapping back to attention.
"My turn. What's your full name?" Nat chuckled, "asking me easy questions first won't make me let my guard down." She watched you, waiting for a reaction and when you stayed silent, she rolled her eyes, "Natalia Romanova in Russian, Natasha Romanoff in the states."You nodded, "your turn, Natasha." She thought for a moment, "You said 'wanted' before. You wanted to make the world a better place. Not anymore?" You crinkled you eyebrows, "Pass." She stared at you for longer than was comfortable. You gave in,
"Fine. I've seen enough to know that world will never get better, so what difference do my 18 hour shifts make?" Natasha shrugged,
"You do more that you think. Anyone else would have just shot be and moved on. Actually, everyone else tried too. Why didn't you?"
"It's my turn to ask a question." Nat shook her head, "You asked what difference your 18 hour shifts make. I answered. Now answer my question."
"Not fair."
"I'm an assassin, fair isn't exactly my game. Why didn't you shoot me?" You rolled your eyes but a small smile crept onto your face,
"They wouldn't pay me if a shot you," she raised an eyebrow, not buying it. Before you could answer though, there was a huge crash behind you. It was followed by yelling and frantic gun shots, then possibly the most horrific noise of all: silence. The door to the icebox flew open with a wisp of red magic and a brunette woman stood in the doorway with glowing red eyes. Natasha walked towards the figure in the doorway. She placed a hand on your shoulder as she passed. Red magic wrapped around her torso and she began to fly in the air with the red woman. She winked as she was lifted off the ground, "see you around, Y/n."
