Nobody's pov:
The couple stood outside of the orphanage, holding their only child. They were scared, yet they wanted the best for the kid. The woman, a woman of Chinese heritage and pretty short with short hair, held her child, trying to make sure she didn't wake up. The man, a big strong man with a mustache, was looking at the huge building, not wanting to let go of their child just yet.
"Are you sure this is the answer, Tom?" The man nodded.
"It's the only way to keep her safe..." Tom trailed off, not taking his eyes off the big broad building.
"Mommy, where am I going?" The young girl asked with utter confusion.
"To a very safe place." Marinette stared at the woman, unsure of what she meant.
Tom and the woman's eyes started to water up with tears. Now seeing her parents sad, Marinette started to tear-up as well.
"Mommy! Daddy! What's going on?!" She yelled. Her parents wrapped her in a tight bear hug, not wanting to let her go.
"Don't worry my little bugaboo," Tom said, "we will always be with you, but this place is your new home, remember one thing...Gotham will always be your home..." Tom picked Marinette up and twirled her in the air, releasing some of the sadness.
"Sabine, we must go now." Sabine nodded. Kissing the top of Marinette's head, she rang the doorbell and left with Tom. Marinette was crying, the tears increasing. But, she could still hear the faint voice of her dad calling out to her...bugaboo...it said...bugaboo...
The door to the orphanage opened and a tall woman with a bun appeared. She motioned Marinette inside, starting at that moment, Marinette was an orphan.
At the same time, a boy about 6-years-old was left on the doorstep of Bruce Wayne's house. Wayne wanted nothing to do with the kid, but after Alfred convinced him, he reluctantly took the boy in.
The kid had no name, so Bruce named his Damien. The clueless kid had no idea that in a couple years, he would be the sidekick of one of the most famous superheroes alive, and maybe even become one himself......
