Marinette started the morning cleaning the room, with her best friend, Alya helping her. They were always so insync in the morning. It let them drift away and not have any worries in the world.

Think of the movie Annie and how all of the girls cleaned together while singing, and knew exactly where to throw the pillows, clean the floors, and vacuum or dust. That's exactly how Marinette, Alya, and the other girls at the orphanage were.

When Marinette arrived at the orphanage, she had been 5, she met a girl with big round glasses and fiery orange hair. The girl immediately came up to her, and started pretend interviewing her, holding a fake microphone up to her and asking her questions like "how did you end up here? Who are your parents? What happened to your parents?" Marinette had been very shy and started backing up.

The orphanage master, Madame Bustier, told Alya to take it easy and go finish her dinner. After Marinette had gotten settled in (in her room was Alya, Alix, and Mylene), Alya came back up to her and apologized. Marinette forgave her and they became fast friends. Now they have been friends for 11 years, and they do almost everything together.

Most of the time, Alya would update her blog and Marinette would design clothes, sometimes making them.

Madame Bustier was strict at times, but very lenient with her orphans. She was not like most orphanage owners that you think of; she was very nice.

Often, Madame Bustier would let Marinette and Alya go out to the store to get the things that they needed. She would tell them to get groceries, cleaning supplies, and if they found anything they wanted and it was in the budget, they could get it.

(time skip like the whole day, it's now 6 o'clock pm)

Today was a day that she needed them to go out to the store to get food. There were a lot of girls in the orphanage, so they needed to keep their food storage up.

"Marinette!" Madame Bustier called.

"Yes?" Marinette answered, jumping down the stairs.

"I need you to run to the store and grab a few things." Madame Bustier handed her a list of items she needed to buy and handed her a wallet with $65.

"Can Alya come?" Madame Bustier shook her head. "Not today, I need her help with some of the other things I need to get done around here."

Marinette headed out and went to the grocery store.

Damian Wayne was now 17-years-old and was training in the background with Bruce, trying to figure out a complicated move that he had been practicing.

Sweat was dripping down his forehead, and he held his saber in his hand, taking only sharp breaths in case Bruce attacked him unexpectedly.

Bruce lunged at the teenager, pointing his weapon directly at him. Damian blocked and parred, knowing Bruce's tactic very well.

Bruce smirked, knowing that Damian knew what he was doing. Bruce lunged at Damian again, but just as Damian was about to block him, Bruce feinted to the side, making Damian off-balance.

"Woah!" Damian exclaimed as he fell to the ground, then "oof!" It ended with Bruce's saber pointing at Damian's chest. Damian was breathing heavily.

Bruce pointed the saber down and held out his hand to Damian, also breathing heavily.

Damian took his hand.

"Thanks." he mumbled.

"Why the long face?" Bruce asked. Damian sighed.

"Just when I think I can defeat you, you always seem to surprise me, master." Bruce chuckled. "Please, how many times have I told you to stop calling me master? My name's Bruce. Today you put up a better fight than the others we've had. Well done, you're definitely improving."

Damian smiled.

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

Damian and Bruce both looked at each other. They ran outside and sure enough, the Bat Signal was projected in the sky.

Damian looked at Bruce with hope in his eyes. Bruce nodded. "Yes, you will need to come today." he said simply.

Bruce and Damian ran inside, going to their rooms to change into their costumes. Damian excitedly changed into his Robin suit. When he ran outside to the balcony, of course Batman was standing there, waiting for him.

They jumped from roof to roof, trying as fast as they could to get to the fight.

Marinette had just finished getting the groceries Madame Bustier asked her to get.

"Alright, let's see...roast beef, check. Rotisserie chicked, check. Celery, check. Carrots, check. New fabric with beautiful golden design, check." Marinette had decided to buy a new fabric with the remaining money she had, and she still had some left over.

Marinette decided to count the money she had left in the streetlights. It was only 7:45pm and it was pitch black outside.

Someone was watching her.....

"2...4...5..." she counted. But then, someone jumped out at her! Grabbing the wallet with the money, making her drop the groceries.

"Hey!" She yelled, clearly pissed. The person snarled at her and started grabbing the groceries. Marinette gasped and did the only thing she could think of; she started to hit the man.

The man glared at her and raised his hand, about to hit her. Marientte shrieked, and shrunk down.

Something caught the guy's arm. Marinette looked up and saw a boy that looked around her age, holding the end of whatever weapon was holding the man's arm. The boy looked angry and jumped down to meet the man.

"What do you think you're doing?" Damian asked the tall guy that stole from the girl. The man gulped.

"S-ste-stealing?" He responded. Damian shook his head. "That's no way to behave in Gotham, let alone around a girl." The girl puffed out her cheeks, turning red. She was obviously offended that he had called her a 'girl'. Damian snatched the wallet away from the man and handed it to the girl. He then told the man to get lost or else.

"Th-thank you." Marinette said shakily, but grateful. The boy frowned. "Great, now I'm late."

Now it was Marinette's turn to frown. "Well, sorryyyy." Marinette said, rolling her eyes. What a rude kid. Marinette thought. The boy just narrowed his eyes at her and left.

"See if I would want to save you if you were the one in my place." Marinette mumbled to herself. Picking up the groceries and wallet, she headed home, only thinking negatively about the boy with the mask.
