A Whole New World

Chapter one-part 2

Then I saw something glowing purple inside the forest. It looked awesome. So I went to get a closer look but it ended up being a lot farther than expected but I kept going. Dino was walking right beside me and he looked curious too. Finally it seemed like we were getting a little closer. Once I could finally sort of see it. It looked like a gateway to some fantasy world. I thought it was fake. I went all the way up to it and it looked like a painting. I touched it but my hand didn't stop on the cloth of a canvas. It kept going to where I almost lost my balance. It was beautiful. I was just standing in shock till I saw Dino walking into this mystery world. Of course I had to go get him. I don't want him to get hurt. I cautiously stepped into the newly discovered world. I was just going to get dino and go right back out. I ran up to him and grabbed him but he was a little far into this mysterious place so I had to walk a little bit but I got him. Then, I went to find the gateway into the human world but it wasn't there. We were stuck here in a place that we have no idea of what it is. There was a slim worn out dirt path that I was following.

This world had giant flowers and mushrooms. There were weeping willows everywhere. Not just any weeping willow, they were giant and mostly purple. I could see mountains in the distance with waterfalls. I feel like I'm dreaming. This doesn't feel real. It can't be can it?

I tried slapping myself so that I could wake up but it didn't work. I even tried lying down and shutting my eyes to see if I was still there and I was. I ended up actually falling asleep on the ground. Then, I woke up but I wasn't in the same place I was in what looked like a small rock cabin thing. The windows were open and there was no glass, it was just a hole in the wall. There was moss and vines growing on the rocks on the inside. I was laying on a log bench with a thin hand sewn cushion on it. I also had a hand sewn quilt laying over me. At the end of the bench on the floor I saw Dino and he was drinking water out of what looked like a homemade clay bowl and then there was the same bowl beside it with some food in it. There was a small wooden table beside the bench I was laying on. It had a clay cup with water in it. I'm guessing it's supposed to be for me. Suddenly, I heard soft footsteps behind me. I was trying to hide under the quilt so whatever was behind me didn't see me but the quilt wasn't long enough to cover my feet and head. Then I saw a shadow pop out from behind the bench above me. It said "why are you hiding from me? I just saved your life." I uncovered my face and it was a girl. She had short pixie cut brown hair. Her face looked so wholesome. Her cheeks were a natural shade of blush. She was in a brownish dress that looked like it was made when the dinosaurs were still here. Like she had made it herself. She looked like she was around 5'4 feet tall. (I am 5'9) She chirped "Hi my name is Stella Blossom what's your name?" I sat there for a minute trying to process everything. She waved her hand in front of my face trying to get me to pay attention and she had her head turned with a bright smile and her eyes squinted. I shook my head to get out of my zone. Then, I said "my name is Jessica Ophilea" I stuttered a little. I sat up and rubbed my face. She plopped down beside me. I thought 'did she say she saved me what could she have been saving me from'. I said "did you say that you saved me?" She then looked at me and smiled again 'dang this girl smiles a lot.' "yeah you can't just fall asleep on the dragon's landing paths they will accidentally land on you" She said in a concerned tone. I looked like I just saw a ghost and yelled "DID YOU SAY DRAGONS." She looked confused, "I thought you lived here?" Now you look confused. "No, I didn't even know this place existed." Then she said "Dang it I thought I finally found another human that lived here." "Wait then what lives here?" I asked. "Oh if you walk a little bit from here there is a small village with a bunch of small houses that kind of look like this one. Trolls live there." My jaw dropped. Then, she said "oh don't worry they are very friendly." I was so relieved. Then she pointed at Dino and asked "What's his name?" "His name is dino." She looked like she was in love and then said "awwww that's adorable. I just laughed. "So how do I get back to the human world?" She said "I have no idea. I have been stuck here for two years." I was once again shocked at something she told me. "So I'm stuck here forever?" She said "I guess so." "No I can't stay here, I have to get out." I will find a way. I was about to step outside to find some way to go home but I realized it was completely dark outside and there are no street lights here. I turned back around to look at Stella but I was embarrassed. She laughed at me. She said "come on" while grabbing my hand. She dragged me into an empty room in her small house. The room had a small log bed with a thin mattress with a bigger version of the quilt I was using earlier. There was also a small bedside table and a small window with a curtain in front of it. She also showed me where the bathroom was. There was a metal bathtub with a bright colorful shower curtain around it and beside the shower was a small toilet with a small cactus on the lid, and on the other side there was a small sink with a bamboo spout. The bathroom was very cute. Stella stated "here this is for dino" and handed me a cushion like the one on the bench in what I'm guessing was the living room. "Oh thank you." She said "oh you're welcome you should get some rest then in the morning we can both go and try to look for anything to help us get out ok?" I just nodded my head.
