I woke up to someone shaking me. I yelped as I got a fright and fell onto the floor, glaring up at who woke me. "Minho!" I yelled. "Why are you in my room and why did you wake me up? Like living dangerously do you, you slinthead?" I attempted to untangle myself from the blankets. Minho chuckled, watching me. "We got an early Gathering, and you and Issy need to be there." He said, still laughing as he watched me. I scowled at him. "Why do we need to be there?" I groaned, taking the hand Minho offered me and standing up. He shrugged. "Alby's orders." I sighed as I followed him out of my room, shutting the door gently behind me.

I looked up at the sky that was just turning pink from the sun rise. "You woke me up before sunrise?" I cried. "Yep. Also, everyone is already heading to the Gathering. You should hurry." I gave him a pointed look. "But I'm hungry." I gestured to my stomach. Minho rolled his eyes, changing direction to head to the kitchen. I smirked triumphantly as he pointed to me. "You stay here. I'm going to grab you a bite - Frypan's already at the Gathering with everyone else - where we should be right now." He turned and headed quietly into the kitchen.

I had just swallowed the last bite of my sandwich as we entered the Gathering. I gave Alby an apologetic look, before taking the spare seat beside Newt. We smiled at each other. "Now," Alby started. He had our attention. "This Gathering was originally going to be about the new knowledge we've aquired from Amy and Issy." He gestured to us. "But I've had a request to change that, and I think the idea is actually quite smart." I saw him flick his eyes over to Newt. The other's didn't notice, but I did, and I knew instantly that Newt had been the one to request it. "The new subject of this Gathering is a fourth rule." The Keepers were stunned into silence, listening intently for more. "This fourth rule will be to protect the only girls in our Glade, as they will most likely play a vital role in our eventual escape of this klunky place." Everyone's eyes went from me to Issy and back to Alby.

"Rule Four will be as follows: Never invade the personal space of the girls in our Glade without their permission, and these girls are, of course, Amy and Issy. Tell your workers the new rule. Consequences for breaking the rule are either the Slammer, or banishment. Whenever the Greenie comes up, tell them all four rules, not just the original three." Alby nodded his head in dismissal, and the Keepers slowly dispersed, talking amongst themselves. Me and Issy got up to leave simultaniously, but Alby stopped me. "Not you, Amy."

Newt and I shared a look. He squeezed my hand for a brief moment before leaving as well, Issy on his heels, flashing me a quick thumbs up as she went. I walked up to Alby, who was standing, his arms crossed over his chest. "Is everything okay, Alby?" I said hesitantly. His face showed no emotion. "I know what's happening with you and Newt." He said plainly. I froze. "What?" I wasn't sure I had heard him correctly. He looked down at me. I was fourteen, but I was short. "He told me. And I just wanted to say it's fine. As long as Newt has your permission, he isn't violating the new rule. And I see you realised he was the one who requested the new rule." he nodded at me. I smiled at him. "Okay, thanks for letting me know." I said over my shoulder as I walked out.

A/N:
Hey, sorry again for a short chapter! I've always liked the idea of the Gladers making a new rule for the girls! It's school holidays now so I should be able to write more.
Please vote and comment, it really keeps me going (:
