Hang Tight, Theseus

╚ ------------ ╝

Tommy collided with the tree, the bonnet of the car splitting in half as it crashed against the bark. The boy let out a scream, feeling shards of glass and car parts pull at his skin. He felt his head hit the wheel in front of him followed by a stream of thick liquid down his face. His leg stung like a million knives were being impaled into the muscle and his shoulder screamed out in pain as he tried to move it. Once again, the blonde let out a scream in pain.

His breathing was shallow and short as he tried to take in gasps of air, which was tainted with the smell of petrol and blood. The engine sizzled, smoke radiating off of it as the teenager tried to focus back in on reality which turned out to be an easy task as he heard the sirens of the police who were chasing him get closer.

Tommy's eyes widened as he managed to wedge both his legs free and turn on his side, ignoring all the pain which made him want to scream as he used the force of his feet and kicked at his smashed up door. The glass from the window that had embedded itself on the seat was now in the boy's hands as he frantically kicked. A larger shard found itself in the blonde's skin, he screamed out in pain as he kicked again and knocked the door off its hinges.

As soon as the door was gone, ignoring the shards of metal and glass on the floor and in his skin, Tommy jumped to his feet. His right hand held his left shoulder as he fought back tears, it was a pain he had never felt before. He felt like he was dying. He bolted into the woods off the side of the highway, leaving his beautiful car in pieces. Thank God there was nothing important he kept in there.

The teenager kept going further into the trees, each step sending a pain like no other through his body. His breathing was staggered and sharp but he knew he couldn't stop and rest; the police would be patrolling the woods in an attempt to find him the minute they got there and saw he was absent. With his hand still holding his shoulder- which Tommy was sure it was dislocated- and covered in blood, he kept up the pace. He needed to get to a secure place before he could even attempt to call anyone.

Shards of glass and metal were still in the boy, sticking out in different sizes and spaces. His clothes were ripped and bloody, blood pouring down the right side of his face and getting too close to his eyes. Tommy walked with a partial limp as he followed the sounds of a nearing city and away from the yells of the police who were now far back in the woods near where he had crashed. He could barely hear them... it was either from distance or his ringing ears... he wasn't quite sure.

He kept walking, his foot getting caught on a rock and sending him into the ground. He wanted to scream out but quickly shoved his right hand over his mouth as he muffled his cry. He couldn't get caught. He had to keep going. He couldn't go back. Tommy pushed himself up off of the dirt, wincing as his ankle ached as he walked.

The blonde poked his head out from behind a tree, smiling with relief as he caught a glimpse of the city. He knew exactly which highway he was at. Tommy fumbled down with his right hand as he tried to track down his phone, leaning on a tree for support. His body tensed as he couldn't find the stupid device, fearful that he had left it in the car. A sigh of relief escaped him when he finally found it in his cargo shorts' side pocket.

He clicked the first contact that showed up and sank to the floor, screaming out in pain as he felt shards of something push into him.

"Tommy?"

"AH- Tech- I need help"

"TOMMY?" Another voice called.

"Where are you?"

"I'm- FUCK" He squeaked in pain, a noise he rarely did these days. The blonde knew the twins were together, so it was Wilbur... right? Maybe that wasn't his brother... Teddy? No. She was dead... It couldn't be his dad-

"Tommy?" Techno called out, bringing the boy back into reality. Tommy shook his head.

"Oh- I'm gonna... pass out... hurry" He fought his urges. He has spaced the fuck out and that was never good. He could feel himself slipping, fighting to urge to close his eyes and welcome the darkness.

"Where are you, Toms?" The pinkette called out again. Tommy's eyes were half-lidded, his hand slowly losing the grip on his phone. He didn't have enough strength to respond. "Wilbur, track his phone."

"Already am"

"Hold tight, Theseus"

Theseus...

Tommy smiled, his eyes drooping. He hasn't heard that name since his mother passed... that was nice to hear...

The teenager looked up at the treetops, the blue sky peeking in through the leaves. They were all different shapes, sizes and colours. Tommy thought they were interesting but maybe that was just the state he was in.

To think he was just cruising on the road to clear his mind and get some food when a passing cop car recognized his number plate and car description. The next thing he knew, he was being chased down the highway and towards the next town over which wasn't great for the teenager because one: twice the cop cars and two: he didn't know the streets of Hermit as well as he did L'Manberg.

Time seemed to pass Tommy by, he didn't know how long he was laid in the leaves and dirt bleeding out or how long he was staring at the trees but by the time a car pulled up and three figures came running at him, he closed his eyes. Catching one last glimpse at his brothers before his chest stopped rising.
