*Max's P.o.V*

The next few days have been nothing but traveling. I've been at the back of the pack with a slow pace just thinking about random things. The thing about living in this type of circumstance is that you have no time to mourn properly so you just shut down completely. I have just been ignoring everyone while doing what they tell me to do at the least.

Aero screaming knocks me out of my trance so I jog to catch up to the group.

"What's wrong?" I ask anybody. There's no zombies within our perimeter so what could possibly be wrong?

"There was a humongous spider on me!" Aero says while still freaking out. I would rub her back to at least comfort her but she still has poison ivy. They did use some itch cream from my medical bag yesterday.

"Really? You stop us and almost give us all a heart attack just because a spider was on you?" Kip asks and Aero nods.

"As if you're not scared of spiders," Lilly defends Aero with her arms crossed. I smile at her growing confidence. Kay just backs away and Lilly nods her head while Aero thanks her.

"Let's keep moving," Fox commands and we all continue walking to who knows where. I let everyone go in front of me but Harry doesn't so I roll my eyes and continue walking.

According to Harry's watch, it's half past four so we've stopped to take a water break. I sit by a tree with my back facing the group. The water tastes nice after walking for a long time in the heat but I can only drink a little since we haven't found any fresh water to refill our bottles.

"Enough rest. Let's go." Fox says so we all get up and continue following him.

"Do you even know where we are going?" Kay finally asks the question.

"Nope," Fox just shrugs.

"We aren't going to find anything if we stop," Dagmar says and Fox looks at her while putting an arm around her shoulder.

It is scorching out here to where even the shade from the trees isn't cooling. We have limited water and we haven't even found a water source at all.

By dusk, the whole groups pace has slowed down.

"Can we just rest for the night?" Kip asks very dryly.

"Yes," Fox says and plops down to the ground while everyone else follows his lead. The ground is probably going to be muddy by midnight from all the sweat.

"We need to find water very soon," Chip says while turning his empty water bottle upside down.

"Where can we find a map at?" Kip jokingly asks which makes everyone slightly laugh, including me.

"I don't know about you all but the less clothes there is, the more cooler we'd be." Kay says while taking off his damp shirt. Everyone agrees because they all take off their shirts, including the girls even Lilly which surprises me.

"This feels a lot better," Lilly says with a sigh and rests against a tree trunk. I see Fox watch her hungrily but it's too hot to deal with him so I go behind my tree, away from everyone.

"Why don't you take your shirt off? You'll be much cooler." Harry asks me, making me jump in surprise, while he takes a seat next to me so I just shake my head no. "Why? You took it off at the river." I look over to his shirtless self with a unimpressed look.

"I wasn't thinking plus I'm comfortable around you and Kay, not everyone else in the group."

"But you're behind a tree away from everyone's view," he raises his brow at me.
