The next day we woke up earlier than usual so we can stay out as long as possible to find supplies. Luckily Fox let me, Harry and Lilly to stay together with Kay and Lyra joining us. All of us are quite tired since we are up and moving just as the sun is coming up. It's pretty foggy in the forest but only on the ground so our vision is pretty clear.

About fifteen minutes of walking west, Harry looks at me for an answer and I nod my head yes. We then start walking north west. No one seems to have a problem with it but I can sense the uneasy ness.

"Why are we going this direction?" Kay is the first one to bring up the question.

"If we keep heading in one direction, it will lead us to nowhere." Harry answers his question.

"Who's brilliant idea was that? Yours Harry?" Harry shakes his head no. "Who's then?" Harry nods his head towards me and I give Kay a small smile and wave. "Should've known that." He looks down and gives a small laugh.

"I figured that we should be close to a road and as you can see," I circle my arms towards the ground. "We aren't on a road so if we keep on going straight, we will never find one in a good time frame." I smile proudly and Kay is blown away while Lilly skips her way towards me and rests her arm on my shoulder.

"That's my genius sister." I roll my eyes while she giggles.

"You are pretty smart. Glad we have you." Kay praises me and I blush when I give my thanks.

We've been walking for some time now and we still haven't met up with a road.

"This is taking forever to find a road." Kay sighs.

"We are walking in a corner basically so of course we will take the long way to find a road." Harry tells him.

Soon, we are walking up a slight hill. To my surprise there are no tees at the top which I find odd. Maybe we are coming up to a clearing. Once we reach the top we see something amazing. Pavement, a road. Lilly and Kay are holding hands jumping up and down in front of each other like school girls. Harry shouts 'finally' while Lyra and I hold hands trying to contain our excitement. Lilly then bear hugs me and Harry looks over with the biggest smile on his face.

"Good job Max." Harry praises me and gives me a high five.

I thank him and pull Lilly away from me. "Too tight." I say and act like I'm out of breath and she apologizes but I just laugh and everyone joins in.

"Which way now?" Kay asks a lot of questions just almost as bad as Lilly. I look both ways deciding.

"Well," I can't decide which way would be best. All of the sudden something clicks in my head. "The city is west but I don't know how far away the gas station would be from it." I frown.

"Usually they are just outside the city," Harry confirms. "So we should travel west now."

"How long did it take us to get to the road?" I ask him since he's the only one with a watch. He looks down at his wrist and calculates.

"Eh, about an hour and a half."

"That's not bad." Kay says and Lilly gives him a confused look. "Could've been worse, like three hours."

"It might take us three hours to find it." Lilly frowns.

"We won't find out just standing here moping about it." I say and they all nod and we start walking on the road. "Let's hope we find it soon because once the sun gets higher it will be hot because of the pavement and no shade."

"We should get umbrella's." Lilly has a point and we all chuckle.

It's been about forty-three minutes since we found the road. Harry, Lilly, and Kay are enjoying each others company. Harry does tell me that I should talk to Lyra so see if I can get her to talk. I haven't heard her speak at all since the first day we arrived and that was just to great us, plus introduction. I stop and wait for her because she's kind of slow at keeping with the pace.
