I wake up to screaming.
I get up from my cozy bed to open the curtains to see what time it is.
It's still night time.
The moon is high in the sky, shining inside my room. The stars are scattered through out the dark sky. I see a shooting star, which I need to wish on very soon.
I exit my room and head down the stairs. As soon as I reach the bottom step I hear someone scream from the kitchen. I also oddly hear deep, scratchy moaning coming from the kitchen.
I head to the kitchen and I am shocked by what I see. Mr. Bentley is laying on the ground, lifeless and bleeding everywhere.
Someone screams again.
I go into the kitchen but stop immediately. Mrs. Bentley is in a corner with, what is seems like, humans surrounding her. These are no ordinary humans. They are limping at a slow unsteady pace and they have a foul smell to them.
I turn around and run up the stairs to go wake up my sister, Lilly. We need to get out of here quick.
I go into her bedroom and try to wake her up.
"Lilly, wake up." I quietly say to her.
She isn't waking up.
"Lilly come on we have to leave." I start shaking her.
"Mmmmm." She groans. Why does she have to be a heavy sleeper.
I tug on her ear hoping to wake her up.
"Ma-" I clamp her mouth shut and put a finger up to my mouth.
"We have to leave."
"Why?" Why does she have to question?
"Get your clothes on." She nods, with out questioning me thank goodness. We don't have much time.
She gets up and gets her clothes and shoes on while asking me the time.
"It's midnight."
"Why do we have to get dressed and leave at midnight?"
"Stop asking questions and just go along with it. Okay?" She nods her head yes.
I tell her to come on and we exit her room. I'm already dressed, just in case something like this ever happened.
We stop at the closet before the stairs to get the emergency bag. I don't know whats in it but frankly I don't care right now because we have to leave right now.
I grab her hand and she follows behind me. We go down the stairs and head towards the back door.
"Max, what's that sound? Don't we have to wake up Mr. and Mrs. Bentley?" I don't want to scare her and tell her that they are dead and humans are eating them.
"It doesn't matter, we're not safe here." She gives me a scared look. "We'll be safe though. Come on."
I open the back door quietly, hoping that there isn't any out there. I push Lilly out and I look back.
I feel bad for not helping Mrs. Bentley. She and her husband were nothing but good to us, which was rare. At least she gets to be with her husband in peace. I just hate how they had to go.
I leave and shut the door behind me.

Hello there :) I hope you enjoyed this. I haven't seen a One Direction fan fiction that takes place during a zombie apocalypse so I decided to make one myself. Yay!
This is the second time I wrote this :p and trust me the first time I wrote it, it was 110% better, so sorry if this sucked. I'm bad at writing anyways but I really wanted it to come to "life" and I might as well share it :).

Oh this is a Harry fan fic and he WILL show up, duh, but later on like in chapter 4 or 5. That's late I know but whatever.
