Third Wheeling

Oneshot Details: Nick Austin and Madison are together, you're happy for them why wouldn't you be, the only problem that you have is third wheeling the couple. It happens quite often when Madison makes you join them on outings and events in hopes to make you feel less lonely, but it only reminds you more. Another day comes where Madison invites you out but this time you put your foot down only to lift it back up when you bring someone with you and jealousy tensions only seem to rise.

Y/n's POV:

I sat on my couch scrolling through social media waiting for some of my friends to hop on call of duty, pictures and videos appeared, some of me, some of friends, some of celebrities, but mostly ship accounts. They're everywhere, on Twitter, on Instagram, and Tiktok they're everywhere on Tiktok. I'll casually be laughing at video then I scroll then BOOM! Video edit of Madison and Nick, or Madison and Me or just Madison. Sometimes it scares me, in multiple ways, the amount of views, likes and comments. Jesus the comments will either make me laugh or piss the fuck off. There usually isn't an in between, just now an edit of me on my phone while Nick and Madison share a kiss that happened to be caught by the paps. I looked hella lonely in the video.

*Hey Y/n you there?" I heard a deep voice through my headset and I immediately tossed my phone to the side, "Hey Elias." I greeted the guy, *Where's Maggie at I'm tryna destroy some people's ego tonight, but how are you?* He laughed, "I don't know she's probably talking to Brandon but I'm good." I stated an obvious, *Mic check mic check, one, two, three, I spy two bitches.* Maggie's voice boomed in my ears.

*Excuse me I'm no bitch, I'm a whore. Now hurry up and get on.* Elias corrects her making the both of us laugh, *Whatever. How are you two doing? Let's catch up a little it's been a while.* We picked our load outs waiting for more people to get on, "Eh I've been alright." I shrugged my shoulders, *Oh my god Y/n I was tagged in a video of you being lonely with Madison and Nick.* Elias cackles making me shake my head.

*Elias shut your mouth, you're just as lonely as Y/n.* Maggie defends me, *Easy for you to say, you've had the longest relationship, I don't think I've been in a relationship lasting over two months let alone two years.* Elias groans, "You'll find someone Elias maybe even on here, but yeah there's a lot videos like that but that doesn't matter come on lets play." I start the game.

*I think it does matter I mean, Madison has been dragging you everywhere with her and Nick it's like she's scared to leave you alone which I understand I mean before Nick scooped her up it was always you two together, well as friends.* Maggie points out.

*Yeah don't you get tired of third wheeling all the time?* Elias asks, "Yeah, I have other better things to do but I don't want to make her upset because those are really the times that we spend together since she's always busy." I justify shooting the guy in front of me taking his loot. *You need to put your foot down you know, say no, you can't hang out because of I don't know make an excuse. *AHHH TAKE THAT YOU DICK!* Maggie screams making us laugh.

We continued defeating other players round after round but then in a middle of a kill streak my phone goes off, *Aye who's that? They're distracting you from playing!" Elias starts to get angry as I seem him struggle trying to shoot someone, I glanced down at my phone seeing the familiar teddy bear emoji, "It's Madison." I state ignoring the message focusing on the game.

*Aren't you going to see what it's about?* Maggie asks and the round finishes, "Okay here, uh she's asking if I want to hang out with them, again, tomorrow." I slowly trail off, *No.* *NO!* They both say at the same time, "I'll ask what they're doing and if I don't want to do it then I'll say no." I reply back to Madison and she responds almost a few seconds later, she must be on her phone.
