Y/n's POV:

"Bub? Bubba?" I heard coughing to my side and I rolled over feeling heat radiate. I forced my eyes open seeing Madison awake, I brought my hand to her cheek realizing that she's where the heat is coming from, I quickly tap the back of my hand to her forehead and her neck, "You're sick." I shot up from our bed and I pulled the covers off the both of us, I saw her curled up into a ball tighter and I turned on the lamp in our room. I went through her closet that was an entirely separate space, I grabbed a new set of sweats and I rushed to the bathroom, still half awake I started to fill the tub with warm water, "BOWIE!" I yelled for her dog and he came running, "Go wake up mama, so we can help her." I tell him hearing him leave me and I finished getting everything ready, I left the bathroom seeing the clock on the wall. 4: 37 am. I groaned rubbing my face and I went back seeing Bowie pulling Madison's arm. "Alright come on love, let's get you cleaned up before you go back to bed." I whisper as I slide my arms under her body, she wrapped her arms around my neck as I bridal styled carried her to the bathroom. I had everything ready and all I needed was for her to relax. "It hurts Y/n." Madison softly says, "What hurts?" I ask that was followed by another heavy cough, I stripped her and carried her gently placing her into the tub and she sighed. "Everything, my head, my throat, my muscles feel weak but the water is helping." She sniffles laying her head back, I frowned feeling bad. I don't know how she got sick but she hates being sick, it's the one thing she hates the most it makes her feel unmotivated and lazy, she doesn't like the feeling of being frail and I understand. She always a busy woman and having to be sick makes everything in the world worse. I got out the thermometer checking her temperature. "Please tell me it isn't bad." She moves making the water become loud. I looked at her knowing that this was only going to make more upset.

"You're at one o two, it's bad." I put it away not letting her see it and she didn't say anything after that. "I'm gonna go get you medicine, I'll come back and help you just don't get your hair wet." I tell her standing up from the bathroom floor. I walked out of bathroom making my way to the kitchen looking in one of the cupboards with all of our medicines from Pain killers to eye drops, cough drops and anti itch cream. I found some night time tablets that'll make her sleepy if she takes them but sleep is the best medicine so this'll help. I gabbed a dose along with a cup of water and I went back to her. A warm bath, medicine, and rest is the quickest way to get better. "Here, these will help take them so that you can go back to sleep." I leave the cup on the edge of the tub and I stroked her leg as she took it, she handed me the cup back and I help her out drying her off with the towel and I stood there hugging her trying to warm her up a little before dressing her. "Don't you have work today? I don't want to keep you from work I've already done it too many times." She looks up at me trying to stay awake, "I do have work but I'll call in it's okay." I squeeze her a little tighter making her smile, "Are you sure though? I know they need you and I do too but work is a little more important, you have that big deadline coming up." She needs me and so that's what I'm going to give. "I know but that deadline can wait just a little." I kiss her forehead then pulling away grabbing her clothes. She reassures me that she can get dressed herself and so I let her waiting with Bowie. "I'm done." I look away from the dog seeing Madison comfortable and we all walk out of the bathroom heading back to the bedroom and she immediately gets under the covers.

She opens her arms and I lay down letting her attach to me like a koala and I ran my fingers through her hair soon hearing deep breaths telling me that she's asleep. I stayed up getting some work done on my computer and to make sure that if anything else happened I'd be ready but nothing did, the most was her holding onto me tighter. I looked at the time and it's now 9 am, black out curtains are nice but it's hard to tell what time it is. I rubbed my eyes putting my computer away hearing a growl from my stomach, surprising that didn't wake Madison up. The medicine would wear off soon so might as well some breakfast ready. I slowly slipped out of her grip replacing myself with a pillow. I stretched my entire body on my way to the kitchen and I looked through our fridge finding a few things I can use. Simple, good and filling Biscuits and gravy. "You know how much I don't like it when I wake up to a pillow and not you." I hear a tired voice making turn around plating the food. "I know but I thought you'd be hungry when you wake up and I was starving so, breakfast for my poor baby." I laugh placing it in front of her and I see her put her hair into a quick bun letting her baby hairs stick out on her forehead. She doesn't dig in right away instead she kept her hand close by her lips and she had a look, one with question. Always so beautiful even without trying. "What are you thinking about?" I ask making myself a plate. "You never get sick?" She questions and I look back "Hmm" I sound taking a bite. "I've never seen you get sick like me, not to the point where I have to take care of you, it's always you taking care of me. I don't even get to take care of you even with allergies." It sounds like she's complaining.

"I don't know I just have a good immune system probably because I ate dirt as a kid and sat in a puddle to make mud pies but you take care of me, even though it might not be with me about to die from coughing my lungs out but you take care me in ways that not many think about. You keep my serotonin levels at it's max, I haven't felt like shit ever since you popped into my life, it's always constant smiles with you so you do take care of me all the time." I say taking another bite and I look at her seeing her eyes start to brim, "Are you crying?" I ask walking over to you, "No it's allergies." I pull her close to my chest.
