Once upon a time, long ago-Actually, that beginning doesn't seem to work well. It makes this seem like it's fake, but in reality it's not.

To put it bluntly, the gods are real. They battled against the Titans long ago, won, and have ruled over the world ever since.

And as we all know, the gods like to screw around. Literally. They're constantly banging mortals and those mortals have their children. These kids are demigods, or more commonly known as "Half-bloods." There are children of the Greek and Roman gods scattered all across the globe, but they're few are far between.

Let's clear up and explain some stuff:

You see, depending on if you're Greek or Roman, most Half-bloods die before the age of twenty. Weather they die on a quest, die because of monsters, or the gods felt petty with another god and decided to take it out on their child to hurt them, not many demigods survive so easily. The Greeks are more laid back and literally live in a camp called "Camp Half-blood", they're tight knit, family oriented since they group kids together by godly parent, and are a more relaxing place to live as a demigod.

The Romans however, their camp is more of a empire. They organize kids by groups, whichever group takes them is the group they live in, regardless of godly parent. They're extremely strict and everyone is trained like their in the military. They if you step out of line too much, you WILL die. Seriously. They won't hesitate to kill you.

Both places however, have oracles (they help send demigods

Monsters can smell their scent from miles away, and can usually recognize their godly parent. And so, to get back at the gods (and get some food) they seek out demigods to kill and eat. To kill them, demigods have to use weapons made of a special metal called "celestial bronze" which can only be found on Olympus.

But how is this all hidden from the outside world? From the non-demigods? Well you can thanks Hecate for that, for the goddess creates something called "the mist" which hides monsters and godly/half-blood magic from normal people. If they saw these things that they could have swore were fiction, they would surely go insane.

Some history for the demigods is that they were summoned to help fight with the gods in war twice. The first time against the titans where the Greeks and Romans were separated, and the second against the giants where the Greeks and Romans were united. These wars made some drastic changes, especially the first. They made the gods claim their children as soon as they were 13 or above and arrived at camp, and build cabins for the minor gods so everyone would be included. The second war allowed the Greeks and Romans to be united, and to throw in some creative freedom it also allowed demigods to be able to go to whichever camp they want, no matter if their godly parent was Roman or Greek.

I believe that answers all the big questions, so let's get into actual scenarios now.

1• (Oc/character) is somehow taken to Camp Half-blood after getting attacked on the way there. Once they arrive, they learn that they're a demigod! They're explained that they'll know when their claimed when a symbol of their godly parents shows up over them, like a glowing light. Who will their godly parents be? What will life at camp be like for them? How will adjusting to this new life work out?

2• Campfire song time! Weather they're all celebrating at the Roman camp or just eating around the campfire at the Greek camp, everyone decided to sing some campfire songs. Maybe they'll go a little something like this one:

Or they'll make one up of their own! Who knows?

3• (Oc/character) is being sent on a quest! They need to pick a team that will work (or if it was a small prophecy, one that fits the prophecy the Oracle told), and (Crush (WHO HAS A DIFFERENT GODLY PARENT THEN THEM. Just want to make this clear)/best friend) seems to fit the role! Will they choose them and go on a quest with them, or leave them behind as to not risk their life?

4• Make one up of your own! Tbh I don't really want to follow the plot of the books because 1, I want to have some creative freedom here, and 2, I'm not done with HoO yet so I wouldn't be able to follow along really well with that part.
