I'm so fucking tired.
This week I have gotten multiple requests via PM's and some even actual comments asking to rp, (except one person who was just excited I did danganronpa. If you're reading this you're good as of now.) And not a single one of them followed the request rules.
I'm sick and tired of this happening. It's a huge discouragement and it's part of why I honestly don't have much motivation to roleplay anymore. I can't fucking handle how overlooked my boundaries are, asking to read the rules should be the bare fucking MINIMUM. I thought ignoring people would be good enough but it isn't. They just keep flooding in like flies in the summer.
I'm not closing this book, instead I have a proposal for people I honestly grew attached to and/or see as a online friend (or mutual as TikTok users call them), and if that doesn't apply to you then I want you to take this as a threat.
I'm thinking of closing this book for strangers specifically but keeping it open for online friends. Clearly THEY'RE the only ones who respect me, and have made me feel comfortable. If everyone else won't do the bare fucking minimum they I don't see why they should be allowed here. I'm fucking done man.
I have made post after post explaining how this affects me, but that wasn't enough. I've edited the rules and that still wasn't enough. I've ignored commenters who asked to rp before commenting the password and in one special case, two people decided to believe that the book was dead despite it having been updated in less then a week. I NEVER REPLIED BECAUSE THEY NEVER READ THE RULES.
Not to mention one person who I decided to give a chance, and I am 99.9% sure they tried to fucking groom me.
I don't fucking care if this hurts anyone's feeling (as long as they aren't a online friend) because I have a right to be angry. The rules were made for my fucking boundaries, and that's that.
So moral of the story (or chapter)?
To my online friends, ily, keep doing your best and thank you for respecting me.
Anyone else? Get your shit together or you're going to ruin this for everyone.
