As for the prompt, it goes a little something like this:

(Oc/character) ends up committing a murder for some reason. (Any reason can work, they could just be a petty b****, or the person they killed had cheated them or did them wrong, it can be for anything) But either way they're caught and are being put on death penalty, unless that is, they can convince the court that they're innocent.

"How the hell are they going to do that?" You ask. Well there's a lawyer, (crush/best friend), who has never lost a case. They're expensive as hell, but after convincing them somehow, they agree to help you with your case. Hooray for a corrupt justice system!

"Thay doesn't answer the question! How will he help (Oc/character) escape the death penalty?!" I hear you screech. Well it's quite simple actually: You need to gain the public's favor. If you two can gain the media's attention and favor, you'll have an advantage at court. Add on top his court skills, and boom. You got yourself a one way ticket to freedom.

But maybe, just maybe, you two begin to grow a relationship that isn't simply a professional one....
