Once upon a time, a woman made a deal with a demon lord of some kind. They were in need of an heir, and she offered to carry their child in exchange for immortality. The demon accepted, and soon she was expecting.
But then, she made a deal with a witch. The witch wanted a child of their own, but could never find someone to conceive one with. So the deal was that in exchange for her firstborn child, the witch would give her all the riches and wealth she could desire.
Eventually, the child was born, aaaaaand the woman ran off on a grand adventure to get milk. She'll be back one day....maybe.
So now the demon and witch are fighting over who gains the right to the child.
