Hongyi returned into the shed to see Shi Ying meditating. He walked upto the stove for the purpose of preparing the food for dinner and other medicines for the wounded. He was working on lighting up the fire by rubbing the twigs but wasn't able to. Earlier it was Da Sa Ming who would do that with his spiritual energy but now he is already gone. Baili Hongyi knows how to make fire, its just it takes alot of time and again its back to everything not magical but pure labour.
"Gounzi! I can build the fire." Hongyi turned around to see Shi Ying looking intently at his hands which held the twigs for making a fire. Hongyi turned back continuing his work.
"Shi Zun, I know you can but you are weak right now. Da Zun told me that it requires your spiritual energy. You may rest for now and recuperate well."
"I am absolutely fine. The injury is almost healed. Thank you for your concern Gounzi."
"No need. Recuperate well." Shi Ying nodded and closed his eyes once again, going back to meditation.
Few days passed with both the young mans adjusting with each other. They did not talk much or converse. There major conversation was about Shi Ying's health and his wounds which were recuperating really very fast which was a surprise to Hongyi. Now Shi Ying was also now fit enough to do his chores and change himself, without the help of Hongyi.
It was one fine night when ultimately Shi Ying decided to walk to the nearest city so that Hongyi could be on his own and be safe unlike him who has threats all over. They have been here for quite long with only basic necessities and surviving on their survival and natural instincts but Shi Ying can make out that the latter was not comfortable still not voicing it out.
"Gounzi!"
"Yes!"
"If its not too much of a trouble, lets go to the nearby habitat. I am doing fine and the place is quite far too."
"Shi Zun, Da Zun has made me responsible for your health. I don't mind going to the nearby place provided you are healed. I need to check in your wounds to make sure you are fit to travel." Hongyi said with left hand at the back while looking straight at Shi Ying's eyes.
"What are you inusinating at Gounzi?"
"Shi Zun, if you let me have a look at your wounds and pulse, we shall leave soon."
"Alright, you may check it. I am really thankful to you Gounzi for helping me out. I owe you a lot."
"No need to mention. Now shall we?" Hongyi said gesturing to the cottage. Shi Ying nodded and made his way to the cottage followed by Hongyi. Shi Ying sat down in the lotus shape position and with two fingers of both the hands, he motioned in the circular movement and kept them parallel to each other just above the place of his core and sat still. Hongyi hesitantly moved towards Shi Ying as he was not yet used to all the spiritual stuffs. He stood infront of the meditating figure, scrouching down and loosened the robe. He checked on the chest area where the jade pin was stabbed which has now a scar.
As Hongyi held the wrist to check on his pulse, Shi Ying frowned at the warmth he felt on his skin. Its not a warmth of a person but something he couldn't decipher. This touch was flaring his spiritual energy as he frowned and concentrated more on his powers. Hongyi checked the pulse on the wrist while Shi Ying was channelising his spiritual power. Applying the medicinal herb on the back and arms of Shi Ying, Hongyi came back to the chest wound, he looked at it for quite a while as he looked back at the face of the person boring the scar. 'How in the world could someone so pure and righteous bear such a horrible scar!'
