Aimlessly wandering around his room, Sunghoon searched high and low for his skating bag. The extra early practice scheduled for tomorrow, looming over him. He needed to prep everything so that he could finish up his school work and get some sleep. Frustrated, Sunghoon rubs his eyes, letting out a deep sigh. He takes a few seconds to think, before deciding to check the living room downstairs.

The house was in complete darkness, apart from the one noticeable light coming from the kitchen. This was strange, normally Sunghoon was the only one wandering around the house at 11:00 in the evening. He slowly and carefully crept down his old, wooden staircase, making sure he made as little noise as possible.

"You can't be serious!"

Sunghoon jumped hearing the scream. He feels a pit build in his stomach once realizing it was his mothers voice.

"My Sunghoon...You've got to have this wrong!" His mother sounded distraught continuing the conversation.

Feeling nervous hearing his name mentioned, Sunghoon questioned what he had done to cause such a fuss. His mother was so gentle and calm, she never yelled like that.

"This behavior is unlike him, I raised him better than that!" Her voice was shaky, it felt like she was barely holding herself together.

Sunghoon was overwhelmingly worried for his mother. His curiosity led him further down the stairs, until he had reached the open passage way of the kitchen. Back against the wall, Sunghoon cautiously leaned his head, just far enough for his eyes to be able to see his mother. Sitting perfectly upright at the kitchen table, she looked tense, clenching the phone in her right hand.

"You saw this with your own eyes... Well your eyes must be wrong then!" Slamming her phone onto the kitchen table, Sunghoon's mother bursts into tears.

All Sunghoon could do was watch helplessly as his mother sobbed into her pajamas, he really couldn't comprehend what was going on. After a few agonizing moments passed, the crying slowed down and his mother began to compose herself. Slowly, she lifted her head, eyes red and visibly sore, she picks up the phone again.

"Yes I'm still here." She manages to utter.

"Don't worry, I'll deal with this, but i'd appreciate it if this stayed between you and me."
