Now 2:30 in the morning, the boys snuggled up in the array of soft pillows and cozy blankets scattered across Jungwon's bedroom floor. Heeseung tucked Riki in gently, since the boy had gotten so drunk he had passed out. Although he was angry that he did indeed have to carry his drunk ass home, he couldn't stay mad for long. Riki just got overexcited, he may be a nuisance sometimes, but aren't all little brothers? Once Riki was settled, Heeseung had no trouble falling asleep, the long night had taken a toll on him.
On the other side of the room, Jungwon had cuddled up to Sunoo. The boys were always clinging to each other, just like best friends usually are. Both boys couldn't seem to sleep, they were definitely tired, but the nights events played over in their minds.
"How did it go with Sunghoon? I saw you two off in your own little world." Lifting his head slightly, Jungwon slyly glances at Sunoo.
Unable to hide his smile, Sunoo avoids eye contact with Jungwon, pushing his head back onto his chest. "Hmm, good." Holding back what he actually wanted to say, Sunoo felt shy about his encounters with Sunghoon tonight.
"Just good? Okay okay." Jungwon smirks. He knew his friend better than anyone else, so he could tell straight away that there was more to the story.
"He kinda opened up to me." Sunoo sinks into his blankets. He didn't want to hide anything from Jungwon, he just doubted himself too much. "I thought that it would be impossible, he's really standoffish. But the more we talked, the more I could tell he trusted me. I don't know if it's all in my head though."
"You're not an idiot Sunoo. You're a really comforting person to be around, people find it easy to talk to you. I'm not surprised Sunghoon did too." Grasping his friend's hand, Jungwon pulls it close to him, resting his chin on it.
"I think I'll try to be his friend first, take it slow. I just wanna be around him, I don't need more." Sunoo's gut felt weird, the same weird feeling he felt when lying. He hated lying, it made him feel like an awful person, with his body relaying that fact. Unless he was joking around, he never lied. Right now he knew he wasn't lying, he didn't need more than friendship with Sunghoon, yet he still felt strange. Did his subconscious know something he didn't?
"Pfff take it slow. I've never seen Kim Sunoo ever 'take it slow ' ."Jungwon couldn't hold back his laughter. When Sunoo set his mind on something, he was going to achieve it, and achieve it as soon as possible. "Recall Bae Heejin? All I remember is you told me you liked her once, and within a day you had set up the largest grand gesture I've ever seen."
"That was two years ago. I don't even know where I'd get 5000 roses from now, let alone 10 crates of chocolates imported from Belgium, 50 white doves, the fireworks display."
"Don't forget the serenade from their favourite idol."
"Hah I just got lucky I ran into Youngjae at the convenience store."
"You say it so nonchalantly, like its normal to run into Youngjae from Got7."
The boys giggle thinking of the past. It used to be way more fun before they had to actually focus on their exams. Sunoo remembers Heejin fondly, his first girlfriend, his first love, his first heartbreak. They dated for two years, only ending the relationship about 8 months ago. Realizing that things had changed between them, the two parted ways on pretty good terms.
"Anyway, enough about me. Don't think I didn't see you and Jay. Spill." Switching the conversation away from his love life, Sunoo pries into how his friend spent the night.
Jungwon's eyes widen in surprise, he had hoped Sunoo was too busy with Sunghoon to notice Jay's flirting. Pulling the blanket over his face, Jungwon timidly hides the rosy shade of pink flushing onto his skin. "I don't wanna talk about it, I'm embarrassed."
