Chapter 12: The Rock

I'M BACK!!!!!!! So! Well on that last part I published up for you guys to tell me how to continue, I only got two votes one for them drowning, the other for Mrs. O' Leary to save them..... Well the drowning one came first, so I decided to go with that one.... Also from the two choices I kind of liked better. Well, not really LIKED it better, it was just easier for me to build off of.... You know? So between those two choices that's what I chose. I would have waited longer for more votes, but I felt this book was dying so I decided to choose now. I hope you guys are ok with that though.....

Hey! Also what are you guys thinking of the new layout of Wattpad? Cool huh? It looks a lot like the mobile version! (The reading part that is!) For some reason it made it easier for me.... Don't know why 'cause I was very used to the old version.... O' well.... I guess that's just how my weird mind works!

I woke up to drowning face down in the river. I could feel the water slowly dragging me downstream. As I gurgled on the water, I heard my friends on shore screaming at Percy to do something, but he said he couldn't control this water. Neither could I exactly.... It was making my body and mind very weak. What is up with this water?

I noticed I was still grasping onto Mrs. O' Leary's warm fur. I used it to try and pull myself up, but between choking on the water and the water trying to pull me under, it was no use. I suddenly felt a hand grab onto my back and start pulling on me. I tried to turn around, but only succeeded in smacking my head on a broken tree brach.

"Ow..." I moan.

"Come on! Try and fly!" Jason yells over the rapid river waves.

That's a great idea! The stupid side of my head says. Why didn't I think of that before?

I started using all of my will-power at an attempt to fly my way to safety. All I did was become more tired. I got above the water for a small second and took my last deep breath just as the current sucked me under hard. I kicked and flailed as I flew downstream.

I started to feel warmth coming around me. Then I noticed the water disappearing. I start to freak out when I see flames evaporating the water around me.

"AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!" I scream as I drop onto the cold riverbed. "Huh?" I confusedly look up to see Leo brushing his hands together like it was no big deal.

"Your welcome!" he said.

"Thanks, Leo!" I scramble to my feet and rush over to Jason and help him up off the muddy ground as well. When I look down at yourself, I noticed I'm soaked in muddy water. "Ewwww..... I am filthy....." Then I notice Jason. "And you're even worse! Haha!" I laugh triumphantly. He flicks my shoulder and I jump from the sudden prick of pain. I do the same back to him, and before for you know it, we were having a Full-Fledged Sibling-Flicking-Fight.

"EHEM! We gotta keep moving you two! Continue on the way!"

After about three SUPER long hours of walking, I finally collapse onto a tree stump, arching my back over it, no so gracefully. My back must've cracked in like five places as I bent it. When I sat up, everyone was inspecting something. I walked over to them to get a better look.

All I saw was a nice big rock.

"What in hell are you guys doing?" I ask confused and angry a little because we should keep moving and not inspect rocks.

"We are at something important! I can feel it in my gut!" Annabeth explains.

"Ohhhh......." I lean forward to get a better look.

I notice that the rock was almost like a big door to a cave. That's when I notice that the rock continues, then splits so a tunnel into the ground is created. That rock was blocking the way into the tunnel! I get it now!

"Welp, that rock is a blocking a doorway to this here rock tunnel that leads underground." I say.

Everyone looks at me astonished.

"You're right!" Annabeth exclaims examening the tunnel.

"Told ya!" I say in a 'DUH' tone.

"Just how are we going to move that rock?" Percy says.

"I'LL MOVE IT!!!" Tyson volunteers running forward. He grabs the giant boulder ad starts to move it gradually to the side.

So? What did you guys think?! I thought this would be a good way to bring back the story..... So yeah! If you guys have any suggestions, TELL ME THEM PLEASE!!!! I would seriously love any help from you guys because as you can probably tell, I am lost and stuck on this book! I really am at a loss for ideas! HELP MEEEEE

So yeah! And did you guys notice the name of this chapter is an allusion? Yeah I am a total nerd so I made it an allusion. 'The Rock' is that famous wrestler! I only know 'cause he is in a lot of movies like Journey to the Center of the Earth and other stuff like that..... So yeah!!!!
