Percy Jackson Fan-Fic: The Different One

Chapter 3: Camp

"Percy!" I saw a girl with blonde hair sprinting towards us, with her eyes on Percy.
She tackled him in a hug, that last so long that it felt awkward.
"Who's the new girl?" she asks gesturing towards me.
"I'm Clover Grass." I tell her politely.
"GREAT! Love new-comers! Glad you both made it here safely. Just it's weird that you haven't been brought here sooner, and SURVIVED. Oh well. Who cares. As long as your here now." she smiled and happily clapped her hands. "You should come to the Big-House, so Chiron knows you are are here. Your godly parent will name you around the campfire tonight."
This girl was blonde, I'm guessing she is Percy's girlfriend because of the hug. She had a strong grip as she dragged me towards a biggish house.
Once we were inside, a white stallion - CORRECTION - a white centaur greeted us as we walked in. I had to rub my eyes to make sure I wan't seeing things.
"Hey Chiron!" the girl greets him. Apparently this was Chiron.
"Good afternoon, Annabeth." he tells her formally.
" What's the new ones name that Percy brought in?" he asks Annabeth.
I opened my mouth to speak, but Annabeth answered for me.
"Clover Grass, Sir" she tells him.
"Oh you don't have to explain anything. Percy explained what I was, what was happening, even about Gaea and the Manhattan war with the Titans. I know I am a demigod too, half human - half god." I explain.
"Well then... I guess that is all you need to know then. Unless you have any questions, of course." I shook my head, and he continued, "Ok. Annabeth? Make sure you show her around, like to the Hermes cabin for now until Clover's godly parent names her. Tell her about her schedule, and where she needs to go and when."
"Oh I know Chiron!" Annabeth replies playfully. Obviously they had some kind of caring for eachother. Annabeth dragged me out of the Big House and into some strawberry fields. What is with the "DRAG CLOVER EVERYWHERE!" thing, apparently everyone is doing.
"Can you please top puling my arm? It's starting hurt." I said as she quickly let go.
"Oops...Sorry. Well these are obviously the strawberry fields." she plucked a strawberry off of a bush, and plopped it right in her mouth.
I must've been giving her a face because she laughed and said, "Don't worry they are clean."
On that note, I plucked one off the bush myself to try. The second I took a bite, I was in love. It was like a roller-coaster ride for my taste-buds. I closed my eyes and focused on the taste of it.
"These are special strawberries that give you strength" Annabeth explained, eating another.
I looked at her. Now that I got the chance to describe her she has stormy-grey eyes, beautiful long blonde hair, a orange T-Shirt that said Camp Half-Blood on it, like Percy's, and a leather necklace with beads around her neck. She looked about my age which was 17.
Behind her, I see six people also our age running up to us.
"Yo Annabeth!" A boy with curly hair calls to her. Annabeth spun around to see them now sprint over to us.
"Oh yeah Clover, this is Leo Valdez, Piper McClean, Jason Grace, Hazel Leveseque, Frank Zhang, and Nico D'Angelo." she explained pointing to each of them.
"Wha-? And who might this be?" Leo flirted when he noticed me. He grinned creepily at me.
"I'm Clover Grass. I just got here today. Annabeth here is showing me around." I tell him.
"Nice to meet you. And in this case.... Annabeth I will take over showing Clover around." He again grinned at me.
Jason pinched the bridge of his nose, acting like he was frustrated, but he clearly wasn't. At least by judging by the smile on his face.
"I wouldn't mind." said definitely not adding that he was sweet and a little cute.
"No. Sorry guys. Can't do. Chiron gave me specific orders for ME to show her around. Anyone else want to say anything else before I move o with the tour?" She asks her friends.
"Sure. I am Piper. Hope to see you around camp!" Piper tells me.
"I'm Hazel. See you around. I hope you are a child of Pluto or Hades! That means you would be my sister!" Hazel explains.
"Nice to meet you all! See you around camp! I hope I can get to know you all!" I tell them.
"You too. Watch out for monsters!" Nico advises.
"Well we got to go now, so bye guys! See you at dinner later, where Clover's parent with name her." she says waving goodbye.
As we walk away, I look over my shoulder at Leo, and wave goodbye, flashing him a small smile."
When they thought that we were out of earshot, I heard them start hollering, "OOOOO! SOMEONES GOT A CRUSH! SOMEONES GOT A CRUSH!"
I snuck a small peek back a them, again, to see them prancing around poor Leo frowning with his arms crossed over his chest, in protestation.
"I saw that same familiar glint in your eye that Percy had when he looked at me before we were dating. You like Leo." She shocking knew. She playfully poked me in the side, urging me to smile.
"Fine it's true. I do like Leo, but don't tell anyone or I'll use your own sword against you! I am only telling you because I feel like I can trust you, since you are the second person I met at camp.
"Hmmm... I think you might end up in the Ares Cabin..." she says totally not paying attention what I am saying.
"HEY! YOUR NOT EVEN PAYING ATTENTION!" I scream.
"No I am. I just wanted to see your reaction. Ok. I want you to see the rest of the camp. So, shut your trap, and follow me." he joked.

At the end of the tour, we sat at the top of a hill. I could see everything from there. I saw the shore, practicing fields, the courtyard where we eat, the cabins, the Big House, the woods, and the tiny little flickering campfire way down below.
"OMG! Look at the time! We got to get to dinner!" Annbeth exclaimed scaring me out of my wits. Why did she have to do that?
I hadn't noticed how late it had gotten until we were already sitting down around our table, eating.
A few minutes I see the others coming. They all looked hungry, kid of like zombies. Which was even creepier for Nico.
"Hey guys!" I wave to them.
They all sit down around the table. With Piper and Hazel across from me.
"What have you guys been up to today? I mean you look hungry, so it had to have been something energy consuming." she asked Jason. Leo sat down right next to me, but really close. I might've moved at little closer towards him too though.
"Hey guys. I can't wait for my godly parent to claim me! Who do you guys think it might be?" I ask eagerly.
"One of the BIG THREE." everyone said in unison.
"You had to have a strong aura for even Percy to notice it." Hazel stated.
"Or maybe your like me. Like you have godly heritage, AND your parent is a god." Frank spoke for the first time since I've met him.
"That could be true. I mean a lot of people in my family heritage had one of their parents leave at birth. But they lived." I said matter-of-factly.
Everyone at the table exchanged worried looks. I was confused why they were so worried. But the was quickly answered.
"The stronger your aura, the more monsters you attract." Percy pointed out.
"OH....." I trailed off.
"I'll protect her!" Leo offered, patting me on my head of wavy blonde hair.
Everyone at the table laughed, but I just thanked him. He gave me one of his crazy grins.
"CAN I HAVE EVERYONE'S ATTENTION PLZ?" A voice boomed from the head table.
Everyone turned towards Chiron at the head table.
"I would like Clover Grass, to come up here please. It is time for her godly parent to claim her." Chiron announced, staring straight at me.
My friends clapped me on the back as I stood up, and walked over to the white centaur. They told me to bring my food as an offering before I am claimed. Chiron gestured me towards the fire. I dumped a portion of my food into the fire, and it smelt like warm brownies.
Instantly a giant glowing symbol blazed vividly above my head. Everyone gasped when they saw it.
