I'm soooooo sorry I haven't updated in like forever! I've been meaning to get to it but like with the end of the school year and stuff, it's been really busy around here. I hope this long chapter makes up for it even though I kept you waiting so long! I wasn't sure I should continue this, but when I saw all the views and votes, I decided to continue! And thank you @howrudoin02 for encouraging me to go farther! All you did was comment like 3 or 4 times and I decided to continue cause the one comment about Frank got my hopes up! If you liked it, I decided that other people probably like it too! So thanks! Now that it's summer, I am going to try to update more often! THANK YOU!

We hit the hot sand with a thud. We were under the shade of a palm tree.

"Where are we?" I ask.

"Well according to that sign that says 'Welcome to San Diego Beach' I think we're in San Diego, California." Piper notices.

"Well I think we should do something about that." Leo says pointing at Nico, who had fainted.

"Oh my god! Nico!" Hazel yells at her brother. She rushes to his unconscious side. "Piper! Quick get out your ambrosia!" Percy told me something about ambrosia being the food of the gods. Apparently it heals.

Piper rummages through her bag and comes out with a bag of some chunks of what I think is ambrosia. They carefully feed the ambrosia to Nico. His eyes fluttered open after a minute. We all took a sigh of relief.

"I'm ok. I was just taking a short nap." Nico struggles to get up, but Hazel pushes him back down.

"Well, even if you ARE ok, you still need to rest. You did just eat ambrosia anyway." Hazel commands politely.

"Fine. But only for a minute." Nico gives up.

"Nico is right. Los Angeles is still 2-3 hours away." Piper explains.

"Alright, but Nico take it easy." Jason says.

"I said I was fine!" Nico gritted his teeth and clenched his fists angrily.

"I heard what you said. I'm not deaf." Jason shrugs off his anger.

We all start walking towards the city. We are going to be walking on foot from here because we don't want any more monsters wrecking things. Or hurting the people that live around here.

"My dad brought me here once before. I know how to get to Los Angeles from here." Piper remembers.

We all follow Piper, around a city that I was not particularly familiar with. Eventually my surroundings changed. I hadn't been paying attention for the past thirty minutes. We were now in the middle of some woods. I could see cars in the distance. I could tell I was zoned out because I caught the end of a conversation.

"-Right Clover?" Percy said.

I was so confused that I said, "Huh?" oh-so intelligently.

Everyone stopped walking and doubled over in laughter.

"What?" I ask confused. "Was it something I said?"

When Leo caught his breath, he finally let out, "We were just having a conversation on what was the best ice cream flavor. Then, Percy asked you, 'Vanilla is the best flavor, right Clover?'" he paused to laugh, but then he continued. "All you replied was 'huh?'. So, to answer your question, yes. It WAS something you said." He doubled over and continued laughing when he finished talking.

"Well, to answer your question, Percy, that is not the best flavor." Percy gasped as I crossed my arms over my chest, and stuck my nose in the air with confirmation. "I think Cookie's 'n' Cream is the best ice cream flavor."
