Bites and Kisses

I rest my hand on his chest. He puts an arm under my head, holding me. He uses his other arm for his own head support. I curl a leg up, resting it on his and he smiles.

"Am I comfy enough for you?"

I nod and look up at him, "More than enough."

"Last night was fun."

I blush and hide my face into him, "Talk about something else."

"Okay?" He moves a little. "What about?"

"You."

Dabi rests his head on my pillow, letting out a sigh. "What about me?"

"Something you don't want to tell me."

"There's a lot I don't want to tell you."

"Then you have a lot of-wait...what?" I sit up and look at him.

He looks at me and smiles, "What's wrong, Ev? Didn't think I had secrets?"

"I knew you did, just not a lot."

He grabs me and tries to pull me back down but I wriggle out of his grasp, "No. Stop. I don't like the fact that you're hiding so much."

"You're hiding shit too, Ev. Everyone is, that's how it works. Like, when were you gonna tell me half your family is dead? And because of you?"

I flinch. "What? Who told you that?"

"Who do you think?" Now he sits up.

I lean back, away from him. "I don't know. That whole thing wasn't supposed to be for anyone to know."

His voice raises and he grabs me, "Evelyn! Your dad told me! I'm not mad that you killed half your family, I'm mad that you wouldn't tell me! So why didn't you tell me?"

I look away as tears roll down my cheeks, "I didn't say anything because I don't like reliving it!"

He lets go and I almost fall off my bed.  "I faked my own death."

I look at him and he looks away, laying back down and holding an arm open for me to lean into. I do, even though some voice in the back of my mind tells me not to.

"Evelyn, I meant it when I said I love you. But I also meant it when I said I don't want to talk about my past." He looks at me and smiles a little. "Just don't ask again, it's already hard enough to say no to you."

I keep my eyes fixed on my ceiling fan. "Then just forget about my family thing." I look at my wall, away from him, and sit up again.

I feel his lips on my neck and a second later, a little pinch.

"Did you just bite me?"

He holds my head in place so I can't turn it, "Yes."

I feel my neck warm up and realize it's one of his hands.  "Don't burn me."

He bites me, harder than before.

I move a little, nervous.

He drags his tongue up the side of my neck and to my cheek, kissing it. "I love you, Evelyn..." His hands move and wrap around me, grabbing onto my hands.

I look at them, "I do too."

He moves his hands again and grabs my shirt.

I pull them off, "No, not now."

He grabs my waist and pulls me against him, "Why?"

I lean my head back on his shoulder. "Because."

He growls in my ear and falls back with me, laying down again. He pushes me off so I'm next to him. "Fine but would at least kiss me?"

I nod.

He pulls his shirt off from under his jacket then unzips it, showing me his chest.

"You're weird." I mumble as I lean in closer to him.

"No you're the weird one."  He mumbles it too and grabs me, pulling me against him and kissing me slowly.

It makes me remember our first kiss and I lean into him, making him hold me.
