4 January 2016 Somewhere in London
The illuminating rays of the full moon seeped in through the dark red curtains of the open window as a young fifteen years old girl laid on her stomach on a comfortable bed, her hair falling messily over her face as she tried hard to not close her eyes and focus on the book before her.
Letting out a loud yawn, she allowed her eyes to close finally as she lowered her head on the pillow with a defeated sigh, but snapped them open within the next second as a knock was heard on her bedroom's door.
Scrambling in a sitting position, she hurriedly fixed her clothes, leaning forward to look into her accompanying dressing mirror before pulling her hair in a ponytail as she called out a "Come in!", her sleepy voice filling the room.
The door was creaked open slightly as a messy haired head peaked in, eyes searching the whole room before falling on the girl sitting cross-legged on her bed with a sleepish grin.
"Still not asleep?" asked a masculine voice, as a mid-aged man opened the door, allowing himself to enter before shutting it close again.
"Sorry," said the girl apologetically. "I just wanted to complete the chapter before sleeping."
"It's okay." he waved it off with a chuckle. "Just don't get too obsessed with that book."
"Of course." she grinned.
"Dad, mum already brought me the butterbeer." she said, eyeing the glass of butterbeer her father was carrying, her mouth instinctively watering slightly. "But, I don't mind another one."
"Here you go." he laughed softly, handing her the glass before watching her with fatherly fondness as she drank the butterbeer with great satisfaction.
His children, his pride, the life and soul of his family. Lisa Parker, the oldest of them, an innocent fifteen-year-old who knew Harry Potter's life more than her own. And John Parker, the youngest, just a eight year old kid who talks faster than you could say 'quidditch'.
"Did you make it, dad?" she asked with a slight frown, the taste of this butterbeer feeling foreign on her tongue.
"Yes." he nodded. "Is it too bad?"
"No, no." she said quickly. "It just tastes different than the usual you make."
"I don't know." he shrugged hesitantly. "I might have messed it up today."
"D-Dad..." she yawned once again, the urge to sleep suddenly becoming very strong. "Did you want to talk about something?"
"Nothing, my little girl." he shook his head hesitantly, getting up to slowly lay her down as she snuggled into her pillow sleepishly. "I just wanted to tell you that mum-dad loves you so much-" he bent down to kiss her forehead "-and don't worry, you'll be back in no time."
"Where am I going dad?" she mumbled sleepishly.
"Somewhere beautiful. Somewhere magical."
"Like Hogwarts?"
"Yes." he chuckled numbly. "Exactly like that."
"Okay."
"Don't get scared there. It might feel very realistic but think of it to be like a story, like a book." he said quietly.
"Like Harry Potter?"
"Yes," he said with a sad smile. "And don't get lost there, because there are people here who really need you. You are very precious, my little girl. Don't let anyone ever convince you otherwise."
"I know, I'm a princess." she smiled slightly, the drowsiness slowly overpowering her.
He chuckled quietly, his eyes getting teary but he didn't let the tears escape.
"Now go to sleep, my little girl. It will be over soon." he said firmly, standing up with determination.
"Okay." she said quietly, the sleep finally engulfing her as the last thing she saw was a bright light fill the entire room before everything went black.
