Dreaming About You

Prologue

       "Oh.. N-Naruto-kun try this! I-I made it for y-you especially.." Hinata shyly spoke out as she reached in the basket she and Naruto had packed food in for their secluded picnic in a field of beautiful flowers. She pulled out a covered bowl with tarnish liquid inside with pork slices, apple slices, brown noodles, peppers, and specks of orange spice to give it some spicy flavor. "Oh. Thanks, Hinata!" Naruto grabbed the bowl from the ninjas hand and broke chopsticks in half and opened the bowl to begin eating.

       He grinned widely making Hinata pepper her cheeks with a pink blush, "Y-Hour welcome, N-Naruto-Kun" She replied back slightly avoiding eye contact. Naruto grabbed noodles and a piece of apple before slurping the noodles, and munching on the somewhat soggy apple slice. He held a content smile the entire time as he ate, the flavors giving him a joyful expression. He swallowed before looking at Hinata, "Wow, Hinata! Your a really great cook! Believe it!" Naruto complimented making Hinata burst into a tomato red. Steam was basically curling out of her ears from how hot her face felt.

"Th-Thank you. That meant so much to me" Hinata said fiddling with her index fingers. "So, Hinata. Anything you would like to do?" Naruto asked with a tilt of his head. "Uh, um, h-how about we just walk around?" Hinata request with a shy smile and glancing at Naruto cutely. "Good idea!" Naruto exclaimed as he got up and helped Hinata up.

       They were wandering around casually picking up flowers and smelling them. There were a few bees buzzing around sucking on the nectar to go back to the hive and make honey. They would also birdwatch some ravens resting in nests on trees that were littered around the area around them.

       Naruto would casually pick up random flowers and held them in his hand having a surprise planning in his head for Hinata. Naruto had this fuzzy feeling and his heart started to this a lot more harder, recently around Hinata and he felt more happy whenever she was beside him. "Naruto-kun?" Hinata questioned as she tapped his shoulder. "Huh? What is it Hinata?" Naruto said confused glancing at her. "Well I was wondering if- WOAH!!" Hinata said as she suddenly fell into a black hole but her right arm was caught by Naruto. "Hold on, Hinata!!" Naruto yelled as he gritted his teeth as he tried his hardest to pull her up. "N-Naruto! I'm slipping!" Hinata exclaimed as her hand was slowly slipping through Naruto's hands.

       For some reason Hinata felt heavier than ever and if he knew Hinata and having to carry her at times he knows she's not extremely heavy. "Don't worry I got you!" Naruto yelled as he tried his hardest to pull her up, but each try he would lose grip of her slightly and his heart rate would beat a little faster. "Please don't let me go, Naruto! Please!" Hinata said as tears started to appear. "I won't let go! I won't ever let go of you even in life or death situations!" Naruto shouted as he was trying to reassure Hinata, but him as well as he tried his best to save her.

"Please Naruto. Save me. I don't want to leave you..." Hinata sobbed as she started to cry tears like they were a waterfall. "Work with me here, Hinata! Grip on to something! Anything! And then push yourself up!" Naruto commanded as he held his courage on the outside and buried his panic and worry underneath. Hinata did as Naruto said and felt dirt or rock but strangely felt.... Nothing. "I-I can't! I can't grab onto anything! It's empty space!" Hinata exclaimed as her panic risen sixfold. "Don't worry I'll-HINATA!!!" Naruto yelled, "NARUTO!!" Hinata yelled as she suddenly was ripped from his grip and fell into the bottomless pit.

"HINATA!!" Naruto said as he lurched forward in his bed, sweat was dripping down his whole body. He whipped his head around noticing he isn't in the field anymore with Hinata. In fact he was in his pajamas, in his bed that's in his room and still night out. Naruto still breathing heavy looked at his clock and tried his hardest to read it in the dark. When he was finally able to see it in the dark it read the time: 1:13 in the morning. "What the hell was that dream all about?" Naruto questioned as he held a skeptical face. He just brushed it off and just laid back down in bed trying to calm himself down. "It's ok, Naruto. It was just a nightmare. Hinata is safe and sound, ok? Yeah! Believe it!" Naruto whispered before closing his eyes. He never went back to sleep until 3 hours later now knowing full well he's going to be tired in the morning.
