Dreaming About You

       It was early morning, around 7 in the morning before Naruto woke up in the slight cold air. He slowly sat up in his wrinkled and messed up comforters, he opened his mouth to yawn and was rubbing his right eye. "Why does it have to be so early in the morning..." Naruto grumbled as he sluggishly got out of bed. Thumping onto the ground and almost dragging his feet across the ground as he made it to his drawer and grabbed his clothes. He turned towards the closet and grabbed his normal baggy orange and blue jacket.

       As he was in the bathroom just drying himself off after his morning bath and was now getting dressed he heard the flap that opens for mail to enter suddenly open. He flashed his head in the direction of the sound and held a confused face. He just shrugged it off as he planned to deal with it once he was done getting dressed and had his teeth brushed.

       He walked out of the bathroom before he went to read the letter, "Nani?" (What?) Naruto Questioned as it was from Tsunade. Keeping his questionable face on he ripped it open and read the letter. He scanned the letter comprehending what it said, slightly whispering some sentences. "So. Guess I'm wanted down at the Hokage's office. Wonder what they want this early in the morning" Naruto questioned as he opened the door before closing it and locking it and dropping the keys in his hidden place where no one would find it.

Naruto finally made it and walked up the side stairs and entering the building. He walked to his left and found fancy double doors and he knocked for permission to enter. "Come in!" Tsunade replied almost shouting making Naruto open the door and peeking his head inside. What he saw surprised him, he saw Hinata sitting on a chair to Naruto's left not looking back at him and she seemed to fidget when he was told to come in. "You wanted to see me, Granny Tsunade?" Naruto questioned using his nickname for her. Tsunade furrowed her brows, but she then sighed closing her eyes and listing her eyebrows back up. "I give up on trying to correct it for you" Tsunade said before using her hand to usher him inside and onto the chair next to Hinata.

He say down and looked at Hinata before smiling a big toothy grin and closed his eyes. "Hey, Hinata! How goes it?" Naruto questioned, he made Hinata almost jump 10 feet if it wasn't for her self control. "O-Oh... H-Hello, N-N-Naruto-Kun..." Hinata shyly said avoiding contact and fiddling with her jacket strings. "Okay. Let's get down to business you two" Tsunade said, Hinata and Naruto looked straight ahead. They looked more professional then and listened to what was going to be said. "I have you both here because you are going on a B Rank mission. This mission is to bring a teenager boy named, Takuma who is in an alliance with us and gives us goods and we offer him and his village protection in return. I'm leaving it up to you since I have looked at your profiles and you are capable. Besides Neji won't be on this trip because he's also on a mission so your in his place, Hinata" Tsunade said and Hinata replied with a nod and a slight smile.

She was super excited to go on a mission with Naruto and thought of ways to bring their relationship closer. "Oi! Hinata? What's wrong?" Naruto asked and she snapped back with a slight gasp as she looked at Naruto slowly and saw he, along with Tsunade looking at her. "You ok, Hinata? You were spacing out there for a second" Tsunade said worried and care in her eyes. "If this is too much for you I can have someone else take your place" Tsunade offered and Hinata suddenly shook her head violently no. "N-No, I'm good. Just... Wondering what's in store for me is all" Hinata lied with a smile. This made Naruto's heart rate increase slightly, "Well I'll let you two go. You leave as soon as possible, you hear me?" Tsunade ordered making the 2 nod once. "Good, you two may leave" Tsunade said dismissing us.

Hinata and Naruto were walking home, Naruto had his hands behind his head, "Hey, Hinata. Once you have everything ready for the mission. Where do you want to meet up?" Naruto asked and Hinata perked up at that. Naruto-Kun, is asking me? No way, this can't be happening! This is a dream! Hinata screamed in her head. "Hinata?" Naruto questioned snapping his fingers in front of Hinata, "O-Oh, s-sorry N-Naruto-Kun. I was deep in thought..." Hinata timidly said causing Naruto to get suspicious, but he let it slide. Once he told Hinata where they were meeting they went their separate ways to get ready.

"Naruto-Kun? Why are we at a Ramen Shop?" Hinata questioned as she recalled this being Naruto's favorite food place to be at. "Well since we're going to be on a long trip might as well fill up our stomachs. Also it's on me" Naruto said with a big toothy grin. "You sure? Because I can pay for our meal..." Hinata said concerned for her comrade. "Don't worry, Hinata. Your one of my best friends! Of course I would pay for your meal!" Naruto said smiling with joy in his eyes. Hinata felt a pang in her chest when he said, 'Best Friend'. She mentally slapped herself for thinking such things. That's silly. Besides we have this time and our mission to get better at our relationship... Hinata thought as she followed Naruto in and sat beside him. "Well if it isn't my favorite customer! Naruto Uzumaki! And who is this lady right here?" Teuchi said with a smile looking at them. "This is my friend, Hinata! We're on a mission together so I decided to have lunch with her before we left on our mission. "Ah, I see. Then the Ramen is on me! No buts, I insist" Teuchi said with a bright smile. "Wow, Arigatou!" Naruto exclaimed and Hinata smiled. "Yes, Arigatou" Hinata said with a smile at the mans kindness.

As the Ramen was being made the two Ninjas sat in awkward silence trying to think of something to say. "Naruto?" Hinata said his name making Naruto turn to her, "What is it, Hinata?" Naruto asked and she gulped before talking. "W-Well I wanted to ask you what you wanted to do in the future. Like, do you want a family? If so what would you do with your family?" Hinata asked surprising Naruto that she never stuttered as well as her question. "Well for starters I plan on becoming, Hokage! As for a family, I haven't really thought about it... but if I did have a family I would make sure to make it the happiest family of all! Believe it! As for my future children.." Naruto said trailing off laying his head on his crossed arms and looked at the void.

"I will make sure that my kids never go through what I went through as a kid... No hate, no bullying, no mistreatment, and no down-casting from others... I also want them to live with parents. I say that because I never had parents growing up and I don't want them to have the same childhood as me" Naruto said trying his very hardest not to cry.

Hinata felt immensely sorry for him and wanted to do everything in her power to make him better. "You know it hurts... Having those glares, hatred, and fear directed at me just because I have this fox inside me that destroyed the whole village. If I didn't have people that loved me then I would be a true monster. A person to really hate" He said and a single tear exited his eyes.

She knew all too well what it was like to be hated, to be told you were weak because you didn't fit the right look or ability to be the heir of a clan. She then bravely put a hand on his back and rubbed him making sure he felt ok. He looked at her with a slight smile. "Arigatou, Hinata. I know to count on you when I need to" Naruto wiped away that one tear and made Hianata blush with a smile. "Ok you two! Here are your meals! Eat up" Teuchi exclaimed with a smile as he handed them both plates of ramen.

       "Itadakimasu!" The 2 said in unison before grabbing chopsticks and started to eat their treat.
