Chapter 3: "Friends"

(This chapter is just going to be about JJ & Kie as it is going to be a filler chapter but the next chapter will be proper anywaysss)

(Continuing from where we left off....)

Kie walks up to JJ unsure if she really wants to jump on his back considering she herself thinks she weighs more than an elephant but then again he did just throw her over his shoulder. With that she jumps up onto his shoulders.

His hand grips onto her thigh, tightly. The feeling of his hand on her skin sends chills up her spine. The good kind.

Kiara has always had a soft spot for JJ she used to like him once upon a time but she didn't wanna ruin their friendship and she was certain that he didn't feel the same.

She doesn't really understand what happened between her and Pope. She tried really hard to feel the love he felt for her so she kept pushing. She thought that maybe if they went there then her feelings might change and she would be head over heels for him. But something didn't feel right. So she knew that it was better to be friends as that was what was best for the both of them.

But it's different with JJ. She can be herself and open up a little. He loves her for her and wouldn't change anything about her and she feels the exact same for him. What is she thinking? They could never be anything more than friends. Could they?

"Kie you ready?" JJ asked looking up at her

She snaps out of her thoughts and back to reality

"Yeah definitely!"

Pope and Cleo spectate as they watch the craziness unfold with these 4 year olds

Sarah and Kie are pushing each other as the boys try to keep their balance.

JJ can't help but admire Kiara. He loves her competitive side. She isn't going down without a fight. It's almost impossible to not smile at the beautiful girl above him.

John B notices that JJ is distracted and kicks him in the leg

"OUCH! Dude!" He yells glaring at him

JJ starts to lose his balance. Kie feels them falling and grabs onto his hair/head. JJ is many things but a loser is not one. He fixes the way he's standing and puts his hand back on Kie's thigh. Sarah is laughing and not paying attention. This is Kie's chance, she pushes Sarah one last time and she falls backwards.

"YOU DID IT, KIE YOU DID IT" JJ shouts in celebration

Kie looks down at John B and Sarah

"Toodlo bitches" Kie then sticks up her middle finger.

JJ & Kie are so excited that they have won considering they almost would've become losers. They brag at John B and Sarah as they don't even make eye contact with either of them

"Okay put me down J" Kie says smiling down at him

"How about no?" he says while putting on a big smirk

"What why?" She asked

"Because I said so"

Kie couldn't help but smile

"Fine but I'm gonna take you down with me Mr Maybank" Kie said in a threating tone

JJ scoffs as if he's offended

With that Kie leans back pulling them both in the water

He comes up first and sees her head float just out the water

"I told you, you were coming down with me!" she said giving him the biggest smile.

"Oh so you wanna go Carrera?"

"Bring it on Maybank!"

He got butterflies and so did she. He charged at her and tackled her into the water. They look at each other as they swim back to the surface. This is new. This feelings they have towards each other. They don't know why but it's as if they need each other.

"John B" Sarah says looking up at him as she dries herself off

"Yeah what is it?" He looks back at her concerened

"Is it just me or are JJ & Kie acting different? But in a good way."

"I don't know. But I sure as hell know that friends don't look at friends that way" He said smiling at the two of them.

A/N:

Sooooo JJ & Kie are getting pretty close and this whole book is supposed to be about their relationship and I know lots of people including myself don't want Kie to go from guy to guy really quickly but y'all also came here for Jiara stuff. Let's just say their relationship might come by quicker than planned.
