Chapter 9: Back off

Once they got to the chateau they all went inside, they boys got changed in some leftover clothes they had left there.

"Look I know last time I did this everything went to shit. But if were careful maybe it won't happen." JJ said in anxious tone

"Let's just have one to do whatever tonight before everything goes sideways." JJ asks hopeful that they would agree to his plan

"You know what fuck it! Might as well before my parents bury my body" Kie said as she looked at the ground as the thought of her parents made her a little sad, the fact that they would send away the first chance they got. She didn't want to go near them. So maybe a party would be a good distraction.

Everyone was silent after Kie for a couple seconds until Sarah and John B nodded along and agreed with JJ because it's not like anyone's there for them.

"I'm gonna go check up on my Pops so he knows I'm ok" Pope says giving them a small smile

"You sure?" Kie asks giving him a concerned look

He nods and begins to take his bike he left at the chateau weeks ago and rides off to hid house. With his hood on keeping his head down so no one recognized him.

"I'll be back I'm gonna go get some beer." Kie said as she began to walk away but JJ ran up and catches up.

"I'm going with" he says while intertwining her hand with his, she's turned and looked at him smiled and leaned into him. They kiss caught him offguard but he didn't hesitate to kiss her back

"What was that for?" He said placing his forehead on hers.

"Just felt like it but J, I'm gonna go by myself ok last time we went we got recognized by kelce."

"Ok but please be safe!" JJ said as he placed a kiss on her forehead which made he giggle.

"I'll be so safe" she teased as she let go of his hand and walked off

"Oh my god did you just say to be safe" John B said punching his shoulder

"Such a hypocrite" JB mumbled under his breath which made JJ Laugh.

Kie walked into the shop with her head down. The cashier didn't even take notice of the missing girl even though her face had been all over the local news network.

She bought the beer and as she was going to walk off she stops as she sees a photo of herself smiling with the headline missing above. It was stapled across a power-line pole. She ripped it off and looked down tears starting to fill her eyes. She folded it and stuffed it in her pocket when she heard a familiar voice behind.

"Sup Kie." Rafe said with a smirk on his face. Kie turned and her mouth dropped as she saw him standing in front of her. She began to panic really bad at the thought of what he had down to her in the past was creeping through her mind.

"Why the fuck are you here, Why aren't you with your murderous family" She said putting on a brave face but she was terrified inside. She just wished tat JJ was there. He made her feel safe and right now she was far from that feeling.

"How many times do I have to tell you Kie? Watch your fucking mouth!" He said as he got closer looking down at her. His jaw was tensing.

Her mind was going back and forth from the past to present. What he tried to do back then vs what he was doing now.

"How many times do I have to call you a murderer before you actually feel guilty about what you've done?" She said looking up at him her eart was racing as fast as she could. Before she could do anything he grabbed her wrist and dragged her behind the Liquior shop where no one would see them.
