There she was, my mother. I haven't seen her since I was 5. Apparently her and my dad had a fight, about me I think. As I was saying they had a fight so she decided to leave and I never saw her again, I stayed with Dad and my brother Rafe. Then Rafes mother came back to Ward and had Wheezie. Couple weeks later she had a horrible car accident and died. Wheezie was only a baby so Ward told her that her mother left. So Wheezie forever believed that we were full siblings and had the same mom. (sorry if that didn't make sense).
wait a sec, JJ said this was his mother. JJ SAID THIS WAS HIS MOTHER.

"WHAT?" all the pogues had turned looking directly at me.
"Uh Hi Sweetheart." she tried to give me a sweet smile but I just roll my eyes in response.
Kiara grabbed Pope and John B's hands.
"I think we're just going to wait outside." She said politely.
She turned so that her back was now facing Mom, I looked at her as she mouthed, 'what the fuck.'
JJ grabbed my hand and sat next to me on the coffee table next to the couch.
"Sit." He said firmly and Mom carefully sat down on the couch. She looked nervous but I, actually WE don't care. She has some explaining to do.
(Narrator's POV)
" Ok i'll explain." Their mom started
"Before you both were born back in high school, I was with Luke. We were together. I caught him cheating with Anna Carrera. I told him that we were over and because he was an abusive piece of shit he threatened me. I was terrified and stayed with him ever since. Fast forward 10 years and one night we got into a argument so I walked out to have a breather. I didn't realize my face was bleeding really bad. Ward found me and took me back to his place. His wife was out of town and his 3 year old son Rafe was in bed asleep. One thing lead to another and the next morning I ran back home. Luke was drunk and didn't even realize I was gone. I fell pregnant with twins and told them both it was their child. When you guys were born I gave JJ to Luke and Sarah to Ward. I stayed with Luke so he never found out about the affair and Ward thought I had left OBX. The last time I saw Sarah was the Day I left so i could actually say goodbye."
" Oh. My. God." Sarah said taking in all the new information
"So my real father is Ward?" JJ asked in complete shock.
"Yes."
"I need a minute." JJ said getting up." "Yeah, me too."
They both walked out to Kie, JB & Pope. They heard the conversation, Kie got up straight away grabbing JJ and pulling him into a tight hug. John B did the same for Sarah. Pope stayed seated trying to process everything. Sarah stood out of John B's arms and stepped closer to JJ and Kie.
"I'm so sorry JJ" Sarah whispered opening her arms. He hugged her back tightly. "Me too."

The rest of the pogues came into the hug as well.
Their mom walked out.
"Are you guys gonna stay for dinner?"
JJ looked around at all of them Sarah gave him a small smile. Even if she wasn't there when they were kids, they should try and let her be a part of their lives now.
"Sure. Were just gonna go for a surf first." He responded
A bright smile appeared on all the pogues faces, they haven't gone for a surf in a while and they're in desperate need of one.

All of the pogues went to the chateau and got their boards. They headed down to the beach and let the breeze and the sand on their feet swallow them whole. This, this is were there home was.
Kie raced into the water first followed closely by JJ. The waves were perfect, they glided on the water smoothly. They were so calm and stressed free for the first time in a month. This summer was supposed to be the best summer of there lives but instead it has been the most chaotic, crazy, depressing, thrilling and definitely most memorable.
"Hey i'm going in." Kiara yelled out receiving thumbs up from everyone.
She sat on the warm sand. Her mind was dark, she has never been so open about herself until she met JJ.
She just wished her parents loved her for who she was, that one day they would say they're proud. But she knew that day would never come. Why should she even be complaining, John B doesn't have a dad, Sarah's whole family tried to kill her except Wheezie, JJ's been abused his entire life. She can't compare. Even if it hurts.
Pope came running back to shore. "Hey Kie!" He said trying to catch his breath "Hey" "Crazy bout Sarah and JJ." "Literally what else don't we know." They both started laughing and everyone came back to shore. "You guys good?" Sarah asked looking at them laughing. "Yeah that surf was amazing." Kie exclaimed. "Anyone know what time it is? JJ asked. "Nope" They all said in unison "Oh well let's just go back now." He said rubbing his neck

They made it back to JJ's place, "We're back" Sarah announced walking in.
No sign of their mom.
"Mom?"
no response.
(JJ's POV)
No No No No No not again. Just when I thought she was back in my life. Shit Sarah, we just lost our Mom. AGAIN.
