I had only slept a few hours, it felt good and it felt even better having Clyde hold on to me. I couldn't believe it but I just didn't want to be alone. I turned my body over and faced Clyde he looked so peaceful asleep kind of like the day I met him at the flower shop for the first time - at ease. I lightly placed my hand on his cheek I couldn't help but smile just a little bit. I thought about how insane it is that a little piece of information could change who you are dramatically. It's happened to me but seeing it happen to him was crazy he's not the same person I met at the shop. I removed my hand when he let out a big breath of air and turned over a bit.
I looked back at my alarm clock seeing that it was 2am, I got up slowly out of bed and tip toe to the kitchen for a glass of water - I never got the chance to replace the glasses, but lucky enough I had bottled water still.
I took a sip of it and walked towards the window above the kitchen table. To my surprise Outside looked as if that sudden storm a few hours ago didn't happen. I opened the backdoor and the porch was completely dry. There wasn't even any puddles or mud in the grass. It got even more weird at the fact that it was warm.. Really warm out in the middle of December."What the-"
My curiousness was cut off when my phone began to ring startling me.
Who the hell is calling at 2 in the morning?
I quickly went back inside shutting the door lightly, the caller ID was unknown flashing across the screen but I picked up anyway."Hello?"
"Chelsea." An unfamiliar voice spoke through the line.
"Who is this?" I asked.
"It's Regina." She sighed
"What the- Regina it's two o'clock in the freaking morning what do you want?"
"Just listen.." her voiced didn't sound aged and cracked like it usually does - it was almost as if I was talking to some teenager.
"I know everything Chelsea and I need you to listen and follow simple instructions-"
"What do you mean everything? And what instructions?"
"Your boyfriend- Jonathan... I know that he's been visiting lately and a lot thing of strange things are happening and it's only gonna get worse."
A lump the size of a golf ball formed in my throat and I felt sick to my stomach I didn't know what she was talking about and I had no idea what to say. "What are you talking about?" my voiced cracked, words finally coming out my mouth..
"You have to come to my office first thing tomorrow morning until then be safe and do not go to the cemetery."
"Chelsea." I jump to the sound of him whispering my name as I hesitate to turn around.
Come to see Jonathan standing in front of me the closest he's ever been so far. Usually the recent times he's came to visit it was almost impossible for my lungs to function but now it seems like there working much better. I could almost feel my heart beat pumping harder and my weak bones getting stronger it was kind of like the feeling of just turning 21.
I felt alive again.
I gazed into Jonathan's eyes so happy to see him.
"Chelsea." I hear Regina call through the phone. I ignore it.
"You look so happy." I grin.
The red eyes and weary look on his face had gone since the last time I seen him he looked so young he looked like he was sixteen all over again.
"It's been too long." he says
I giggle, "It's only been a day."
"Chelsea you have to get away from him!" Regina shouts through the line.
