"Regina why the hell-"
"Don't you dare blame her." Clyde cut in.
I stepped back suddenly not knowing what to say became a thing for me. "I don't even know where to start with you." He continued. "How could you do this? And what were you going to tell me?" He asked.
"I uh.." I swallowed hard.
"You weren't." He threw his arms up.
"Wait I just-"
"No, after everything I've done for you... Now I'm starting to figure it out this is really what you do."
"What?"
"You drive the only people that are willing to help you away. You made a choice you knew that would kill me did you think for a second about anybody else's feelings."
"Yes!"
"Clearly not hard enough." He whispered. I could see it in his eyes he was holding back the tears causing him not to stay any longer. He opened the car door and looked at me. "I told you that there's nothing that would drive me away... So the sad part is is that you were the one that did it." He slammed the car door, the engine roared and he drove off.
Regina stepped closer to me. "Chelsea I'm-"
"Please don't tell me you're sorry." I couldn't be mad at her that would just be evil. I couldn't be mad at anyone but myself - he wasn't wrong and I had to stop him he had to let me talk even if I didn't deserve it he had to hear me.
I took the keys from Regina begging her to let me go after him when she gave in I jumped in the car. Before I even started the car clouds rolled over the sun and thunder made the skies roar. I started the car anyway and drove off minuets later rain started pouring just like it did after the restaurant Clyde and I went to.
"What is happening?" I practically had to shout over the thundering.
"Something that's not good." This was the first time I've seen Regina with a frightened look on her face.
"Regina?" I knew there was something she wasn't telling me.
"Chelsea you just need to drive and get to Clyde." Her voice quivered. "I shouldn't have came I don't know how I didn't see this coming."
"What coming!?" I could barely see the roads it was getting dark and the rain was too heavy. But I could see just enough to spot the jeep Clyde was in. Immediately my heart pounded in my chest in fear for him he had to be dangerously over the speed limit in this dangerous rain.
"Ohmygod."
I looked around the streets hoping a police car would catch him and stop him that way he'd be okay.
"There's no one around Chelsea this is all on you." She told me.
I knew what that meant none of this was real this was just apart of James's world. I couldn't get the words out to ask her what was going to happen I was too afraid to find out. "Chelsea close your eyes." She said.
"What? no, no I'm driving-" I stuttered.
"Close your eyes." She demanded.
I looked at the road and I was closing in on Clyde I was almost going to pass him. There was no way I was going to let anything happen to him.
"Close them!"
Next thing I know Clyde's car came to abrupt halt. The car flipped out of control until it finally stopped on its top, I lost all sense my hands were slipping off the wheel and I hit the breaks but the roads were too slippery I was heading right into the front of the jeep that was now facing the wrong side of the road I panicked and closed my eyes as she said as soon as I didn't feel a thing, nothing changed.. I finally opened them and I was in the passenger seat.
