Sam POV
I slammed the door shut to my car and walked up the steps to my house. I couldn't write a damn verse to save my life for this new single we were supposed to be releasing. The deadline was Friday and today was Wednesday. I had no idea why I wasn't concentrating...
Oh wait I know why. I had gotten married 2 months ago and just got back from my honeymoon two weeks ago. They call it the cupcake phase of marriage but I called it being in unconditional and everlasting love with my wife. Ashely was everything I wanted in a girl and it honestly surprised the hell out of me that she stayed so long. She was my biggest fan.
I dug in my pocket for my keys when I noticed a note on the door.
"Hey Daddy, here's your Nerf gun...I'm inside somewhere hiding with the other! Whoever sprays the other with water first cooks dinner and gets dessert ;) -A"
I smirked and picked up the gun, quietly opening the door.
"Ashely? Come out baby I want a kiss..." I said while walking slowly and pressing my back up against the wall.
"Ash come on I want to see my beautiful wife.." I heard her giggle and I smiled. I turned around and looked to see she wasn't even there. I walked over to the TV and noticed her phone there playing a continuous loop of her laughing.
"Wow" I said while shaking my head. I started making my way up the steps. The steps were being a bitch though because every time I landed on one it would make this loud ass creek.
"Sneaking out was way easier than this!" I muttered as I quickly ran down the hall. I opened the door to our bedroom and ran in turning in all kinds of directions to make sure she wasn't at any angle.
I checked the bathroom and her closet and she wasn't there. I checked the balcony and she wasn't there either.
"What the hell?" I whispered as I shut the doors and sat on our bed in front of my closet.
The minute my ass hit the bed I saw Ashely open the door and start shooting water at me. She missed and I took of running down the steps laughing.
We ran through the living room, dining room, garage and finally ended at the kitchen. She tried opening the door the lead outside but it was locked and now I had her right where I wanted her.
"Any last words baby? Oh and I want spaghetti for dinner," I whispered while walking up to her.
"Sam alright stop I don't wanna get wet baby please!"
I walked up to her breathing down her neck.
"You're not already wet?"
I stood back and started to spray when I realized that I had no water in my gun.
I looked at her smirking as she ran over to her gun and started spraying me. I ran towards her and be both hit the ground laughing. It took about 15 minutes to catch our breath and then I leaned down and kissed her.
"I won"
"You cheated"
"You're stupid how do you not check your gun?!" She said while giggling.
"Whatever what do you want for dinner?"
She bit her lip and slid her hand to the waistband of my jeans, "You"
