(Y/N's POV)
My head snapped in the direction of where the words came from. Nate stood there a look of disgust, disbelief, and hurt written on his face. Then as quickly as he came inside the room he stormed out, I realized I couldn't let him get away. No matter how mad he was right now I refused to let him slip away from me. I knew my actions were beyond wrong, stupid and there was no excuse for kissing Sammy.
I rushed after him despite Sam calling my name in pleas. "Skate!" I panted catching him at the end of the hall. He turned to look at me with bloodshot eyes. "What?" He spat harshly. I wasn't taken aback by it though he had every right to be angry. "J-Just please let me explain." I stuttered. "What can you possibly say Y/N? How you didn't mean to kiss the guy who admitted in the most embarrassing way possible to being in love with you."
"How it just happened but you didn't mean to hurt me right? Then you're probably gonna say some shit like how you'll always love me, and how you need me." He chocked back the tears that threatened to spill. I was completely speechless after that not knowing what to say and how to react. "Look Y/N, I just need a break from us." He dryly chuckled taking off the chain I got him for are one year anniversary handing it back to me.
I started to take off the necklace he bought me but his hand stopped me. "Keep it. You just need time to get your head straight, make a choice on who you truly want Y/N." He mumbled wiping his face and then walked away. Leaving me standing in the middle of a hospital hallway clutching the gold chain tightly in my hands. Holding it like it was about to disappear in mid-air.
I knew I needed to find a solution, that I couldn't go on this way, and that I was playing with two people's emotions, and that was the last thing I wanted to do. I slung the purse I picked up before I ran out of the room over my shoulder knowing just where to start to fix this mess. At a person's who opinion on things could help me and that was Johnson.
-------
I pulled up to the apartment he shared with Jack G and hoped out. After going up the elevator I arrived at his door, knocking on it hoping he was home. I checked my phone to see that it was 8:20 pm. The door swung open and Jack J's eyes grew when he saw me. "Hey Y/N." He stepped aside letting me come in. "What's up?" He asked after hugging me. We were good friends also and I talked to him a lot about everything.
"I need your help." I sighed running a hand through my hair. I plopped down on their couch, and he sat down too. "I'm guessing it's about what Sammy said at the party right?" Jack mumbled playing with a loose string on his shirt. "Yeah. B-But theirs a lot more to it." I whispered. He urged me on, and I told him about everything.
"I just don't know anymore Jack. I've known Sammy since elementary school and Nate has had my heart for such along time now. I love them both dearly but one more boyfriend and girlfriend type then the other." I ranted. "Is this even making since." I groaned. Jack ran a hand through his hair looking like he was in deep thought. "It's making perfect since Y/N. I just don't know how you can do that to both of them. Play with their hearts like that," He shook his head. "I mean don't get me wrong I've had my fair share of giving girls broken hearts, but damn." He playfully smirked.
That was Johnson always finding away to make me smile despite how sad I was. "I'm not on anyone's side here, not Skate's not Sammy's, I'm not gonna persuade you to choose my favorite." He joked. "Just do what your heart leads you to do. Love isn't just for the moment Y/N, but for the rest of your life and more." He smiled.
It was then when I knew exactly what I was going to do. "Thanks Jack." I smiled along with him and kissed his cheek. "No problem, tell me how everything goes." He said as I got off the couch heading for the door. "I will." I called back heading out the door, down the elevator to my car. Heading straight home. When I unlocked the door I noticed all of Nate's stuff was gone, it broke my heart even more. I sighed deeply and headed upstairs and to the bathroom to take a nice shower.
Once I got out I put on some sweats and a bra. It was gonna be hard not being able to curl up against Nate's chest, and wake up next to him. I hit the contact of the person I needed to call ready to fix the mess I made.
"Sammy we need to talk."
