Sophie’s POV
I finished writing the letter and started to read over it.
Dear Riley
I always knew that you would choose football. When you came back from Alabama you were always much happier than you had been dancing. At first I thought it was from seeing Luke but when you mentioned that you were playing football there I realise that that was the reason.
I wish that you stayed here because you are by best friend but as your best friend I want you to be happy and you aren’t here. It is clear that you are a really talented dancer but an even more talented football player.
Conner and Brandon miss you a lot too. I know that you were really close with them. Peyton tells you that you should go play football. He says that he wants to be able to say that his friend is the first female NFL. Skye tells you that you should go out and kick ass because you are awesome.
Alisha tells you that she welcomes you back whenever you want to. Try and keep in touch and tell Kelsey that if she wants to argue with someone live TV isn’t the right place for it especially if it is someone that is going to shame her.
Sophie.
Peyton and I had duet practice so I sent it and headed down to practice with him. We had a very sombre song assigned to us. It isn’t slow but just depressing. We have to perform tomorrow so we just want to iron out any problems but we don’t have long. I throw on a tight blue shirt and shorts before running down.
Peyton is already there so we get straight into practice. The story of our dance is that Peyton is trying to pick me up from my misery and I don’t want to be helped.
We start in opposite corners. He starts to move sideways and I go the opposite way. He bends into a squat and places both hands on hips and I copy him. He tumbles towards me and I try to spin away but he wraps both arms around me and lifts me up so that I am hanging over his shoulder. I flip off so that I am behind him and I spin away.
We both start to spin and dance doing the same thing but in opposite sides of the stage. He run towards me with three split jumps. He tries to stand next to me but I slide away. He freezes and I spin around him. He unfreezes and lifts me up. I am in the splits and he lifts me up above his head. When he puts me down I tumble away. Peyton follows me and I don’t push him away. He places both hands on my waist and I drop to the ground in the splits between his legs and then he pulls me up.
He raises my arms and grabs my wrists and we start to dance. I seem happy for a minute to dance with him but then I drop me arms and spin around so that I am facing Peyton. I sit down and sit on my butt with me feet on the floor. I slowly slide backwards so that I am at the front of the stage as Peyton spins. He stops and runs to me I lie flat on the floor and he lifts my legs and starts to drag me towards the centre of the stage. I am still on my back so Peyton drops me legs and jumps over me. I sit up and he bends over so that he lifts me waist and helps me stand up. I stand up but then I start to fall over but Peyton catches me and pulls me up so that I am standing again.
