𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒓𝒕𝒆𝒆𝒏

October 1983

Nick walks to the hanging tree.

He doesn't like Ziggy being there, especially if Sheila is in love with him.

She knew about Ziggy and how much she means to him, which means she wanted to kill her.

Nick had already lost Ziggy twice and the thought of losing her again breaks his heart.

Nick stands in front of the tree, Sheila's footsteps can be heard all over the place.

Her face changes completely at the sight of him.

Sheila smiles sweetly at him, as if she were a good person, as if she hadn't killed all those people.

When she reaches him she stops and her smile grows.

"Nick..." she whispers.

Ziggy who is preparing to let the killers out feels her breath catch.

She can't lose him, not him.

"Sheila", he replies.

She tries to move a little closer but he takes a step back, then Sheila's look changes and Nick realizes his mistake.

Ziggy is overcome with fear at that moment.

"What are you doing here?" Sheila asks, her voice changes too, she sounds a little angry.

"Tag. You're it", he says before throwing the paint mixed with blood at her.

Nick runs out, as the others open the doors.

Ziggy tries to open the door of one of the killers, but Sheila, who had already seen her grabbed Ziggy by the neck before anyone knew it, pulling out the gun that no one had noticed she was carrying.

Ziggy tries to get away or to stab her with the knife, but in the struggle she drops it, drawing the attention of the rest.

Nick feels fear invade him and with it a pang in his chest.

Ziggy begins to scream.

"Nick!" Sheila yells "Get them away from me!" she yells again pointing at the killers "If I die, she dies!"

Nick moves his hand to the gun, but he knows that with one false move Ziggy dies.

"Get away!" Sheila yells to the milkman "Get back", but then Ryan Torres stabs her in the back, causing her to let go of Ziggy.

The redhead takes the opportunity to run and Nick lets out a long sigh, knowing she's safe for the moment. But Ziggy is intercepted by the milkman who grabs her from behind.

Nick reacts immediately and starts running, trying to get to her but the man in the metal mask attacks him, preventing him.

"Your blood is on her!" shouts Nick as he struggles to free himself "It's on Ziggy!"

"Oh my..." Josh whispers, but not knowing what to do.

Nick and Ziggy stop the knife with which the killer is trying to kill them, but they both know they can't hold on much longer.

Deena runs to the knife and hesitates for a second, knowing that if she cut her hand Sheila would be able to escape, but finally grabs it and cuts herself.

She got Ziggy and Nick involved, she couldn't let them die.

Finally the killers get away from Nick and Ziggy, but also from Sheila who takes her chance to escape.

Nick runs to Ziggy, helping her up.

"It's your shirt, it's covered in her blood", Nick whispers, helping her take it off, but she's not paying attention, she only had one thing on her mind.
