I REALIZED SOMETHING.

In the beggining of The Titans Curse, Annabeth got thrown off a cliff right? RIGHT? And Percy wanted to jump after her but I think Artemis said he shouldn't because they needed him. So he didn't and left her. But in MOA he didn't. He didn't listen to Annabeth, Nico or the others and went with her. Apart from the obvious loyalty and love for her I think he felt guilty. Guilty of letting her fall. That is his example of his fatal flaw. Of course he is loyal to others but the line draws with Annabeth. Someone said that he should die to save her? No problem, he would take torture, death for her.

no but not to have Another percabeth breakdown but annabeth chase literally spent her entire life only having herself and only taking care of/helping others and having no one else take care of her. even when luke and thalia come along, they don't necessarily take care of her, and in time she loses both of them. she stays taking care of campers and letting everyone lean on her, but she never has anyone to lean on– until percy. so many people say annabeth is a big spoon but when percy and annabeth are alone, she 100% lets herself be babied. she lets percy hold her, cook for her, take care of her, because its finally nice to have someone care for you. and sometimes she does feel a little guilty and wants to help, but percy will just kiss her and wave her off. annabeth lets herself show weakness around percy, and yeah, some days he needs to be the one who's being held, but he just likes to hold her. he grew up with sally, with a mom who absolutely adored him and did everything for him, but she grew up alone and he's trying to make up for all those years where she had no shoulder to lean on or no arms around her. he's making up for all those years where she was missing love, and he fully intends on continuously showing her that love.
