"Jason was the Roman Percy" "Percy was the Greek Jason" nah, Reyna was the Roman Percy and Annabeth was the Greek Jason. See, Percy and Reyna were both the mysterious outsiders who rose to power not because they wanted to, but because they excelled and because their friends recognized and respected their abilities. They befriend the outcasts and outsiders (Nico, Frank, Hazel, Hedge, etc.) because they're genuine, caring people who know what it's like to have to fight for everything. Humble, loyal, able to recognize the flaws in the system, they both see in gray while operating with their strong moral compass they get from their role model/parental figure (Hylla and Sally).
Annabeth and Jason, on the other hand, are the camp veterans. They've been at their respective camps longer than anyone else, see their respective mentors (Chiron and Lupa) as their parental figures, and are the planner/strategist of the team. Their pasts rule their decisions and emotions, haunted by the ghosts of the family they lost. They both put a lot of weight in to what their godly parents think of them and crave validation that they're a good daughter/son, because they never really got that from their mortal parent. They see the world more in black and white with emotion as the deciding factor, because even though they're seen as the logical/rational ones, emotions form their primary motivations.
