19. "Things are falling like dominoes"

"What the fuck? How? I mean... Who is she? Do we know her?"

Joel was trying to sound like he had no idea but he was screaming inside as he would not expect Valeria to tell him this soon.

"So, the other day the emogirl texted me asking a date idea for his boyfriend who has been away for so long. She said that he is a guy like Aleksi, so I just told her things Aleksi would like. Okay?"

Joonas kept talking watching Joel's face changing expressions every second.

"Today when I was at the studio with Valeria, Aleksi and her girlfriend came in. Guess who is his girlfriend?"

"I don't know... Who?"

The singer wanted to say almost Valeria but he just realized Valeria can't date both of them and be with them at the same time.

"Evelina who is also Valeria's older sister! Can you imagine that? They did not even know about it?"

"Wait! You are telling me you dumb bitches date the sisters and had no idea about it?"

Joonas nervously nodded while still laughing at their situation.

"The thing is... Aleksi started talking about "the perfect date" Evelina planned for them... It was exactly what I texted the emogirl earlier!"

"Oh, fuck!" Was the only thing that came out of his mouth as he was so confused right now. "Valeria maybe wanted to help her sister by asking Joonas what would Aleksi like..." He thought but of course, could not say it out loud.

"Joel, can you imagine that? I almost fell in love with my girlfriend's sister! I don't even know what to think anymore!"

Joel took a deep sigh and turned his gaze to everywhere but Joonas. Now he was feeling guilty since he was part of the game. That moment he just wanted to tell his friend the truth but something he did not have a clue about was holding him back. He had to make sure Valeria is not in trouble although he did not know why.

"You are not gonna tell Aleksi, right?"

Things would just fall like dominoes if Aleksi finds out about it. He would ask Evelina about it, which Evelina would deny since the poor girl had no idea and that would make him think she is a liar. Since Valeria is the emogirl that told her sister about the date idea Evelina eventually will find out about the things she did behind everyones back.

"I don't know... I mean... I shouldn't... He does not need to know, does he?"

Joel nodded to make Joonas think he is doing the only right thing.

"I mean it was in the past. It has no meaning."

"Yeah, but still..."

Joonas could not help himself but thought about how things would turn out to be if he knew who is the emogirl from the very beginning, or if it was the emogirl he met at the party. It was a fact that he was obsessed with finding about the true identity of the emogirl until he met Valeria and well, appearently the emogirl met her Aleksi.

"Maybe, it should be me holding her hand, not Aleksi..."

He thought out loud making Joel took a deep breath. Knowing everything and not being able to tell his best friend was killing him inside.
He walked up to the kitchen to grab two bottles of beer since he knew this night would be long.

"Game over for you, Valeria... The only way out is telling him the truth." He mumbled, leaning on the counter while watching Joonas fight against thousands of thoughts going inside his head.

The day they all finally got together was when the summer tour finally came to the end.
This was also the first time Valeria and Evelina were both there with their boyfriends. Although Valeria's boyfriend did not look so interested in the party.
