27. "Wish I'd never met you"

"We are just lucky that my dad didn't walk in to my room yesterday."

They both laughed while cuddling on the couch, watching a NHL game. Even though Valeria did not understand many things about the game, she was still happy to see him being so interested in it.

"Yeah, we should work out something for that. We can spend time together as much as we want if I meet them, right?"

She just nodded while moving her head off his chest and got serious with the thing she remembered. All Joonas had in his mind was: "oh shit, here we go again."

"Actually there is this little thing... I don't want to make my decision before I tell you about it."

She can already tell that he had a worried look on his face and did not care about the match anymore.

"My parents are moving back to St.Petersburg. They gave us some time to think about our decision..."

Joonas was little dumbfounded as he did not know Valeria would consider the option of going away in the first place.

"And... You are gonna stay here, right?"

He asked, looking for a certain answer but she just turned her gaze on the floor.

"I mean... I considered the option of moving back since I basically hated my life here. But now I have you and..."

Before Valeria could even continue Joonas pulled her into a tight hug.

"Don't leave me. Please."

He mumbled into her hair as she wrapped her arms around his figure. Valeria was thinking to change her decision right there when he started to caress her hair softly.

"I am just a little bit afraid of being alone here since Evelina is also moving out with Aleksi."

Without even thinking twice Joonas got her out of his grip as he was holding her arms tightly.

"Then move in with me!"

She was not expecting him, offering this as a solution but he was looking right into her eyes, almost with his puppy eyes to make her say yes.

"I... I don't know, Joonas... I mean this is your house, you don't have to share it with someone."

Joonas almost rolled his eyes at her making Valeria laugh.

"Someone? You are my girlfriend. There is not a thing more common than a couple living together."

He said right before putting his lips on hers.

"I would be the happiest man on earth, if I have the chance to see your face every time I get home after a long day."

He continued kissing her when Valeria smiled into the kiss, so they both knew she made her decision.

"Fine. I will move in with you."

Joonas stood up, hugging her so tight and swinging her around before he throw her up on the couch and lying on top of her.

"This is the first serious step we are taking in this 'toxic' relationship."

Valeria mumbled while caressing his not-so-baby face since he had a light beard.

"I promise this won't be toxic anymore. I will do anything, okay? I will love you better."

Those words were enough to melt her heart as she had a wide grin on her face when Joonas put a kiss on her palm lying on his cheek.

"I can't wait for all the things we are going to do together in our place..."

She whispered while putting little kisses on his lips and let him talk between them.
