22. "Birthday boy making his wish"

As soon as Robin went upstairs, Evelina walked up back to her seat and tried to ignore all the looks on her. That was when Eeva had the courage to ask the question, everybody wanted to ask.

"Is he... you know?"

"Oh no! I mean... Robin is our childhood friend. They have never got into a relationship. Just... I don't know..."

All eyes suddenly turned to Joonas when he got up and lit up his cigarette before going out to the garden.

He was dying to know what was going on in upstairs right now as he thought that she already knew they were here. She knew that he was here and she still invited him over.

The moment Valeria opened her door, Robin put his lips on hers violently, not even caring about the fact that she was not moving her lips.

"I've missed you. Where have you been? Got yourself a new one?"

He lowered down his kisses to her neck but had to stop when she pushed him away some seconds later. He stared at her blankly like he did not understand what was going on.

"What?"

Valeria just went back to sit on her bed, bringing the bottle of beer to her mouth.

"Nothing. You just killed my mood."

He let out a furious chuckle as he still was not sure if she was serious or not.

"Just because I asked you if you got yourself a boyfriend?"

The way she nodded at his question made him roll his eyes. It was not actually the question what made her push him away. She had some purpose when she texted him to come over.

"Uhm... Was Evelina downstairs?"

She asked like she had no idea about who was there.

"Yeah. There were bunch of dudes and some girls. They looked at me like I am alien or something..."

"Oh!"

Valeria acted like she was surprised when she was busy taking the label tag on the bottle off while trying to get words out of his mouth.

"There was a blonde dude who looked like he was going to kill me. I don't know if he knew me or maybe he has just mistaken me for someone else..."

She tried so hard not to laugh, as she realized that her plan worked out. Now the only thing left was making Joonas talk to her which was the hardest.

"I would have thought that he is the one that made you text me to come over but... No, I don't think a guy like that would be together with you."

Now it was his turn to laugh, as he was standing in front of the window looking outside.

"What do you mean? "A guy like that would not be together with you?" What the hell does it even mean?"

Robin knew he found her sweet spot when he saw Valeria getting this offended at his comment, so he had to continue.

"I don't know, Val... Look at him. And then look at you. There is like zero chemistry inbetween. I think a girl like your sister Evelina would be more suitable for him..."

She opened her mouth but shut it down immediately, thinking about what she just heard.

"Would Joonas really fall for a girl like Evelina rather than me?" She thought as she felt her eyes watering. She knew that she was not exactly his type but hearing it from another person really hit her in the face.

"Maybe he was disappointed when he found out that the emogirl is me, just because he wanted it to be Evelina..."

She sipped on her beer while her mind was tricking her with all these thoughts. First, she was jealous of herself and now she was jealous of her sister.
