As the two ladies strolled through the midst of the forest, Nariko was already overthinking about her being a demon. Besides that, there was another thing she was concerned about. 'Why is Himari helping me despite my hatred towards demons? She should've known that because I'm a demon slayer. She even wanted to make friends with me. Does she have some tricks up her sleeve?'While these thoughts were circling Nariko's head, Himari was having fun picking up flowers and putting them in the basket. She can't read Nariko's mind anyways. Or as she thought.
"If you don't trust me like I trust you, then it's ok. I helped you for your own good. Besides, I really don't want to eat you. I prefer to die than eating someone without their consent," Himari muttered.
"What the hell is 'eating someone without their consent' supposed to mean?! So if I say you are free to devour me, will you do it then?" Nariko yelps in confusion.
"You got the wrong idea. What I mean was-- nevermind. It's no use explaining it to you. Anyways, I have no bad intentions. And if you're asking yourself how I guessed it, it's basically obvious by just looking at you. You're shaking and biting your nails." Nariko was somehow relieved by Himari's statement. It just proved that she literally doesn't have any bad intentions. No, for real. Think about it. If Himari actually wanted to eat Nariko, she would've ate her the first time she saw her laying on the ground, unconscious.
"Well, enough of that doubts. Why are we strolling around, picking some flowers?"
"So you can exercise yourself. It sure is hard laying around for days now, is it? I also have to confirm something."
"Confirm what?"
"If you have actual demon characteristics."
"The sun literally burnt my arm. Good thing it regenerated. That's a proof that I'm a demon."
"Are you actually a demon slayer? You should know better. I want to see if you have some hidden attributes like speed, immense strength, and even Blood Demon Art!" Himari exclaimed, making Nariko interested.
"But what if there isn't? I haven't eaten any humans, so there is no proof that I can acquire some powers of some kind."
"You're underestimating me, are you? As a demon, I have Blood Demon Art as well. I got it by someone who also broke free from Muzan's curse. But unfortunately, it won't last for long," Himari said deplorably, thus making Nariko question.
"What do you mean it won't last for long? You're making me worry here, you know."
"Don't mind about it. We're here to calm ourselves, right? I was just messing with you," Himari declared to make sure the young woman wasn't worrying too much. Nariko just sighed, enjoying the chirping of crickets and the scenery of the stars surrounding the night sky.
It was really peaceful that no one even dared to say a word. The two decided to sit on the grass and then laid down, admiring the view. They cleared out their minds and watched the sky as if they were mesmerized by a magician. They wished that soothing moment lasted forever.
"Now that we had a peaceful minute, let's test out your demon abilities," Himari grinned while Nariko was unsure if she was ready. Things went too fast. She haven't even moved on from her family's passage. She had no choice though. She just convinced herself that it would be good to train as it can be useful in missions to make herself stronger. If she was going to stay in the Demon Slayer Corps.
'Just brush those negative things out of your head, Nariko! You're better than this,' she said to herself.
"I brought your broken Nichirin blade because it's the only thing powerful enough to decapitate a demon. Give me your arm," the woman ordered. Nariko had no choice but to comply. Her arm regenerated from the sun, even though it took a whole day. What could go wrong?
Himari lifts up the blade on her right arm, while the other on Nariko's arm. She cuts Nariko's arm, causing her to scream in pain. But in a blink of an eye, it regenerated. It really proved that Nariko was already a demon. "So that's how demons feel. But I'm not happy about it." Himari just laughed it off and did another experiment. She grabbed her basket and snagged a bottle filled with human blood.
"Let's have a deal, shall we? If you will crave for this blood, then you must not return to your fellow Demon Slayers. And if you don't, we'll proceed to the next experiment."
"How was that supposed to cheer me up?"
"Let's just do this." Himari opened the bottle and gave it to Nariko. She was nervous how it will go. Of course, she had high hopes that Nariko wouldn't give in. Nariko smelled the blood inside the bottle, and only said, "That's fucking gross." Himari was relieved that Nariko didn't have any interest in human blood. But she had to make sure Nariko wasn't bluffing. She stole the bottle from Nariko and made her drink it forcibly. The young woman was very disgusted and spitted out the blood. "Why the hell would you do that?!" She cried out, wiping her tongue in her triangular patterned haori.
"I had to make sure you weren't lying. So, does it taste good?" Himari teased which made Nariko more annoyed than ever.
"How am I supposed to know that? I completely spitted the whole thing out. All I know is that it's fucking disgusting. And don't you dare do that again. I'm really gonna kill you if you do." Himari bursted into laughter upon hearing the girl's warning. Afterwards, she decided to move on to the next experiment.
"Please don't hate me for this," Himari whispered under her breath. Fortunately, Nariko was too distracted. She didn't even knew that Himari was starting another experiment. Himari tackled Nariko, pinning her to the ground. She used half of her strength to keep Nariko from moving. Nariko was strangled, unsure of what she needed to do. She tried to get a grip of Himari's arms or legs, but she couldn't. She was almost losing her consciousness, but she knew she had to find a way to break free.
Then she had an idea. With her index finger being free to move around, she pointed it up to the sky. "Blood Demon Art: Thunderous Clap Back!" Lightning flashed across the sky, and hit Himari. She got paralyzed and eventually lost her grip on Nariko. Before they knew it, clusters of thunder boomed throughout the sky, even though there was no rain. Ridiculous, right?
Himari's ears exploded, making her suffer in agony. Nariko rushed to her and got really worried. Luckily, it wore off but Himari's ears regenerated for 10 minutes.
"Are you ok? I'm really sorry! I just tried to find a way to esca--"
"Are you kidding me? That was so cool! You have your own Blood Demon Art!" Himari exclaimed which made Nariko calm down for a bit.
"I really got worried there. You're fine now, right?"
"Yeah, yeah. I'm fine now. Stop worrying too much. Overthinking can kill you, y'know?" Nariko finally relaxed herself, realizing that Himari was actually feeling better. Nariko grabbed Himari's arms and pulled her up. "How about we go to a district not far from here and look for someone?" Himari declared. Nariko raised an eyebrow and wondered what was she talking about.
"Why? Aren't we supposed to lay low? And who is that someone?"
"You'll know when we'll get there."

So yeah, sorry for the grammatical errors. I decided to reveal Nariko's very first Blood Demon Art because trip ko lang. Thunderous Clap Back is a lame one, I know. It's actually inspired from Stray Kids' Thunderous. Listen to it or else I'll hunt your house down. And I'll try my best to make a better demon art, and update more often. Thank you for reading this mess, loveyou😭♥️
