Nariko was ashamed of herself. She didn't even remember the way out of the crowded place. She decided to settle on going back to Tamayo's place, but she also doesn't remember where it is. She can't even try to locate it, as it is covered by Yushiro's blood demon art. "I'm definitely fucked up," she said to herself. She decided to blend in, so she changed her eyes to her real eyes to make it look like she was a human. As she walked in with the commoners, she was mesmerized with her surroundings. Flashing lights, blissful people, and merry noises made the district fully alive.

Everything around her almost made her decide to just stay there forever, but she knew it was an absurd ambition. Of course, it would have been pretty useless walking around if she didn't ask anyone how to get out of there. Good thing she's an expert in conversations, so she put her plan into action.

"Excuse me, young man. May I know which way is the exit to this city?"

"Oh, are you new here?"

Nariko knew it wasn't going to be easy, since there are dishonest folks around. They might do something bad to her, so she had to answer the question smartly.

"It's actually my second time here, but I seem to have forgotten my way out again. I actually asked someone earlier, but now I can't remember everything they said." She was hoping her lie would work, and she waited for an answer.

"Is that so? Well, the exit is just there up ahead. It takes a few turns, so why don't you just take a ride? It's easier that way."

"I'm actually broke right now. I just came here to visit a close friend, and I was too shy to ask for money," she lied again. She was close to being caught because it was her first time there.

"Why didn't you say so? I can lend you some if you want. Here, take it. This should be enough," the young man stated, which made Nariko glad. He was too kind to give her directions and a free ride, so she couldn't refuse. He lent her the money, but then came an unexpected turn of events.

"Help! This girl is stealing my money! Someone please get her!"

At that very moment, she felt betrayed. She was already tired listening to lies, but she thought she deserved getting double-crossed by that boy. She threw the money in the air and ran away as fast as she could. A few people were alarmed, so they tried to chase her.

She sighed, as if she was planning something that would ruin everyone's enjoyable night. She took a heavy breath, and in a blink of an eye, she ran as if a struck of lightning passed by. People experienced a sudden shiver which made them clear the path.

No one had any idea how to catch up, as she was very far away from them. They didn't even know if she headed straight to the exit, or she just tried to fool them and was actually near them. But practical Himari went to the exit while following her instincts. A few moments later she finally got out. There was only one thing to do, and that was to go to her swordsmith first. She can't beat up demons easily if she has no weapon. Sure, she's a demon, but she hasn't been able to fully hone it as she was unconscious for days and was basically used as an experiment material. She didn't even have enough time to make her blood demon art more enhanced and powerful. Everything was rushed, so she had to make plans before she fell into utter chaos.

As she walked down the lonely road, she sensed something off, like there was someone following her. She prepared her battle stance, as she spotted someone with glowing red eyes. It approached her, which made the image more visible. She wasn't even surprised as a demon was actually tailing her.

"Why are you looking at me like that? We're from the same blood, so just calm down. It seems that you haven't heard his orders, so let me elaborate," the demon started to talk, which made Nariko question things.

"He ordered everyone to find a demon that had green and red hair with two different colored pairs of eyes. He also mentioned that she was with a demon slayer who wore a triangular patterned haori. So in other words, he wants me to kill you and your friend. But since I'm in a good mood, why won't you come with me and help me find that demon? I might even consider letting you live, since you're just plain and boring," the demon nonchalantly said.

"First of all, I am not telling you where she is. I don't even know where she hid herself. Second, I am not plain and boring. Maybe you are. Your face makes me snore. Third, die." She drew herself nearer to her enemy and cut off his arm.

"You know that's not enough to kill me, since I am one of the Twelve Kizukis," he said as it regenerated his arm within a few seconds.

"Yeah, like hell that's true. I don't even see the numbers in your eyes, and your regeneration and reaction speed is too slow."

"Just shut up, you shithead!" The demon started releasing deadly attacks which overwhelmed Nariko. It's been quite long that she hasn't had a duel with a demon, and she got scared somehow. She parried every assault she received and tried to return some fatal blows. Unfortunately, the demon lunged towards her, causing her to back off. She had to use her blood demon art, but just like Himari said, it was too weak. She had to think carefully, as her life depends on everything she does.

"Here goes nothing," she said to herself as she punched the demon's face, causing it to swing sideways and hit a tree. It actually worked and Nariko got fired up.

"You bitch. Die!" The demon lunged himself again, preparing to cast something. "Blood Demon Art, Killer Claw." Sharp and long claws replaced each of his fingers and tried to get Nariko.

"Dammit! I have to do something!" She pointed her index finger that was covered in blood up in the sky. "Blood Demon Art, Thunderous Clap Back!" Her blood turned into smoke, and as it reached the clouds, thunder roared throughout the sky which damaged the demon's ears. He groaned in agony and started cursing his opponent.

"I'm really gonna kill you, fuckwad! That trick of yours actually did something. But that won't stop me--" his ranting got cut out when lightning followed and hit him. He got electrocuted, of course, and he also received severe burns all across his body.

"You burned me! You burned me, you piece of shit!"

"Isn't it obvious? And stopping cursing, idiot!"

"You think you can get away with this? Once I bring your head to him, I will be the most powerful demon in the whole world! Just wait and see!"

"But it won't do any good bringing my head because it's just going to disintegrate."

"Just shut up! I don't want to hear your shit!"

"Well, ok." She said and kicked his head off as if it was a soccer ball. It flew away and started to decompose.

"How dare you kick my head off like that! You think you're too powerful already?! I'm going to kill you!"

"If you can, headless idiot. You're going to die and you're still spewing things you can't even do. So just die and hopefully regret following me."

The body and the head completely vanished and she laid down the road. "I actually did it. It made my rival weak." Realizing this, she immediately stood up and jumped for joy. "I finally did it! Hah! With just a little more practice, I can get more powerful! I'm on my way, Shikichi-san!" She hurriedly ran to her friend's home, even if she didn't actually know the way.
