"You placed the tracker spell on Y/n's coven tattoo, correct?"
"Yes uncle."
"Then I'm curious. Why do you still follow her around? You're not developing feelings for her, right? If you were to develop feelings for her that would lead to dire consequences."
"Don't worry. I'm just keeping an eye on her."
"Good. It would be a shame for you to go to waste."
You sit up in bed, and stretch.
After your date last night, Luz and Eda were both asleep, making it easy to get up to your room without questions like "how was the date!?" And "did you two kissss~?"
But now everyone's awake, leaving you an open target to the questions.
You head downstairs and see Eda, sitting on the couch and watching something.
"Ello! Where's Luz?" You ask, sitting beside her.
"Outside with King." Eda says.
You look up at her scroll.
"Todays ceremony will confirm Raine Whispers as the next head of the bard coven!" Someone announces.
Raine turns around to face the camera. "Uhhh, I am honored to work with Emperor Belos in preparation for the day of Unibe. I mean Unily- I mean-! Uh- oh no- this is going all wrong! Get me out of here!" they run offstage and Eda bursts out laughing.
"How are you supposed to be head bard with stage fright?" She mocks.
"Even with stage fright, they are pretty good! Raine tutored me when I was thinking of trying for bard studies as Hexside!" You smile.
Eda turns to you, her eyes slightly wide. "You know-"
Suddenly Luz walks in, holding a bag as far away from her as possible.
"Sorry Luz.." king mumbles.
"It's okay buddy- hey Eda, got another backpack I could borrow? This one got a little thrown up in" Luz frantically asks.
"Closet."
Luz runs off.
"So why are you suddenly so interested in flying? Did you finally give up on returning to the human realm? I mean, I suppose you could stay here a little longer.." Eda looks away awkwardly.
You raise an eyebrow.
"Oh no, I'm still going home! But I keep running into some setbacks.." Luz quickly glares over at Hooty.
"I was able to get the mouse back safely but, he needs to recover."
"In the meantime, this weekend is the Gland Prix!" King hands you and Eda pamphlets.
You kinda zone out while they explain their plan until you hear your name.
"Y/n, you and me are talking about that date the second I get a chance!" Luz yells as she runs out the door.
"Oh right, you had a date last night. How was it? You're not planning on moving out with this guy right?" Eda asks.
You look at her, confused. "It was one date- of course I'm not moving out!"
She clears her throat. "Right, sorry. Anyways, you said you knew Raine?" She asks.
You nod. "Why, you know them?"
"You could say that.."
You and Eda head out to town. She obviously has some things on her mind.
She goes to get a drink from the pub and you wait outside, looking through a few booths.
